35.5cl bottle at Uncle Babes Burger Bar, Ghent (22 VII 2016), Rogue Mocha Porter 5.3 % ABV. Red glooming rather oily black porter with minimal foam. Appealing for sure. The nose has lots of robust coffee beans. In the taste there are lots of Antwerp mokatine coffee candy features, together with caramel toffee hints, liquorice, sweets, hops and bitterness. Although the body indeed is rather sticky, the brew itself is quite light and quenchable. Lovely American porter.

Bottle at the Maypole, Cambridge. Deep dark brown, translucent. A very little amount of quickly dissipating light brown head. Smells of chocolate fudge with a hint of espresso. The sweet chocolate wins out in the taste. I keep waiting for the bittering balance which never comes. Silky finish. Very well put together.

Originally rated on 9/30/08. Aroma of chocolate, mocha and some fruit hints. It poured a black body with a 1 finger thick tan head. Mouthfeel was a little on the thin side, flavors also of chocolate and mocha, bitter finish but not bad. Overall a fairly decent beer.

Overall, not quite rich enough. Taste, aroma, texture just too subdued. More like a regular stout. On the plus side, at 5.1 % you can knock them back.

Smells of sweet malts and bitter sweet chocolate some coffee notes in there to. Silky deep dark brown in color with no head. Taste is quite nice with sweet roasted malts up front then chocolatey coffee flushes over the tougue with a touch of booze tingle at the end. Medium sticky body with flat like carbonation. Love the deep rich notes of flavor on this brew, Nice work.

0.65l bottle @ The George and Dragon, Barcelona. This is a dark deep brown-ruby one with a big massive and lasting fluffy beige head. Mild chocolate and milk-coffee on the aroma. Some tones of hops, sweetness and some soft cardboard as well. A bit roasted also, but not extreme. Nice. Really easy drinkin. Really smooth, soft and gentle in taste. I get both milk chocolate and clear mocha coffee - mostly in the everlasting aftertaste. Good roastiness - almost a bit burned, and it tastes like a good coffee stout. Tasty! 07.08.2012

Sampled from a 0.355l bottle @ Frtito Bar & Bowling. This is a deep and dark brown one, lacing dark beige head. Soft nose, light coffee and sweet chocolate, a soft sourness coffee sourness perhaps. Kinda thing in the mouth soft prickling average carbonation. Lots of flavor. Cold coffee, dark roasted malts. Cigarettes and mocha. Cardboard in the tail. Not bad. 15.02.2014

Very dark with hardly a head. Aroma in between coffee and caramel. Taste is a bit roasty as well. Full body, tickling the tongue and tough on the stomach as if one is eating rye bread. Good, but I am not as enthusastiac as the mediane rater.
