I thought this was pretty damn good. nice and roasty but not as pronounced a mocha taste as i woulda liked. very lovely aroma one of the best i've smelled with a hint of mocha to it. very full body and nice light head. definately has a creamy finish. i'll definately pick up more.

from my friend Fran bomber poured into sam adams glass - deep motor oil hue - tan and frothy head that leaves generous lacing-head lasted duration of my drink-notes of bittersweet dark chocolate, raisin, prune, caramel and mocha and smoky flavor-delightfully smooth palate - finish is lingering- enjoyed more as beer warmed- great offering from Rogue

Very good porter. Nice finish............................................

Not much to speak of on the nose with fairly standard roasted malts. Taste is a fairly mild coffee bitterness, with a little harsh metallic kick to it. Easy to drink if a little unexceptional.

Lots of good coffee flavor. Lacks the chocolate a little bit. Not as smooth as most porters i’ve had, but a nice bitterness to it to make it feel more like a beer than a coffee.

pours a dark ruby brown with a light brown head. milky aroma with notes of strong coffee, chocolate, and wood. standard porter flavor with a little extra bitterness. a little too watery for my taste, but not bad.

Pours jet black with beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, dark chocolate, hints of coffee. Taste follows the same route, very nice.

12 ounce bottle- poured out deep brown with a cola head that quickly disipated. Aroma was straight black coffee. Taste was coffee and very smokey, pleasant. Mouth feel was a little thin. Above average.

Bottle: Bittersweet with a burnt aftertaste. Any hop bitterness is overshadowed by the burnt malt flavor. Note to brewers: just because it's called chocolate malt doesen't mean its going to taste like chocolate-but then you should know that right?

Single bottle. Poured as dark as you’d expect, with a thin tan head that dissipated quickly but not quite entirely, hanging around to leave a few spots of suds on the glass. Noted a bit of sweet, malty aroma. Feels surprisingly thin and light in the mouth. Bitter but not hoppy, with chocolate as the dominant taste, followed by toasted nuts. Good but kind of ordinary, though perhaps my expectations for this were unrealistically high. Tastes almost burnt, honestly. I can think of a dozen porters off the top of my head I prefer, but that’s not to say Rogue Mocha Porter isn’t good or worth trying. Personally, I’m kind of glad I only bought one bottle in a mixed six pack.
