(Bottle 65 cl) Almost opaque with just a faint, reddish hue and a small, beige head. The nose has some roasted, coffeeish notes. Rather light in body with burned malts and a very dry, bitter finish. 270106 Beerhunter111 (22974) - P´Castle, GERMANY - FEB 19, 2014
Dunkelbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, Karamell, Schokolade, Vanille. Geschmack röstmalzig süß, Schokolade, würzig. Leighton (22551) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 26, 2009
Delicious, Rich, Bold. Had some on tap at Rattle n Hum. Pours a black-brown with a creamy beige head. Nose is all burnt malts, chocolate and coffee. Flavor reinforces the aroma, with some sweetness to balance the bitter, roasted malt backbone. Heavy mouthfeel. Smooth and creamy on the finish, this beer leaves a pleasant, rich, bitter, burnt flavor on the palette. Again, delicious. Rasmus40 (22051) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAY 7, 2012

Black color; generous creamy head. The aroma is very nice, fresh and interesting, despite the age of the bottle, with black olives and chocolate, light vanilla; hops. The body is lean, there is a good chocolate flavor, with a bit too much roasted malt for my taste; in the final there are some roasted nuts too, quite dry final, almost harsh burnt character. Good enough.
Brown color. Some roasted malt aroma, with some hidden hops. Quite good Stout, with a one dimensional roasted malt character.
Bottle on the train from Hereford to Inverness, cheers to DW, 18/10/13. saxo (19531) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - DEC 21, 2009
Mid black with a big old light tan head that retains well - this porter is pleasing on the eye.
Nose is light roast, brown sugars, cocoa, not getting much coffee from it though.
Taste comprises light roast, cocoa, faint coffee strains, molasses, brown sugars, leather.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate.
An ok drinkable porter, not too much depth though.
Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, licorice, chocolate and caramel. harrisoni (19413) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUL 7, 2005
650ml bottle. Dark brown, black colour, roasted malts, chocolate, slightly grainy feel in the mouth with more tart roasted choc malts on end. Not overly interesting but it does what it says on the tin mcberko (19177) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 1, 2010
12oz. bottle, pours dark brown with a big tan head. Aroma of strong coffee and chocolate. Flavour begins with chocolate and finishes with a lingering coffee note, and a pleasant mildly better aftertaste. Mouthful is smooth and silky. Very nice porter. Very dark brown colour. Full rich character is chocolatey, a bit nutty. Hop bitterness is moderate, which I find appetizing in a porter. Very full, smooth body. Goes down reaaaaallly easy. Great stuff, an old favourite.
