MiP (16054) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAR 29, 2014
Bottle, 5.3%. Weak coffee aroma. Black colour. Seems hazy. Small light brown head. The flavour is bready, has a mild coffee note. Low bitterness, it seems, but actually a little unpleasant.

bhensonb (15960) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 8, 2007
Aroma of toasted malt, chocolate, and perhaps coffee. Opaque brown/black color with ruby hilites on the edges. A beige head stays. A bit thin in body; moderate, almost creamy carbonation. The flavor starts with roasted malt, accompanied by significant bitter. There are notes of chocolate and coffee. The finish is very dry, bitter, and has remnants of burnt toast and baking chocolate. A very subtle sour touch comes and goes.

Bottle poured a clear brownish black with red highlights and a large lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of roasted malt coffee, milk chocolate and a hint of vanilla. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, light coffee and a hint of cocoa with a smooth lingering bittersweet finish. Kinda on the watery side for the style in my opinion.

imdownthepub (15513) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 27, 2006
Bottled, 650ml, pasteurised. Black with ruby hue, brown tan head. Thick and dry porter with a heavy, tarry nose and a heavily roasted malt body. Plenty of chaffy notes with a coffee husk background and a touch of treacle. Bitter on the finish, its fine but not refreshing.
