3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUL 30, 2011 Bottle. Poured a very dark brown with a medium (1-2 fingers) sized creamy tan head that was mostly lasting and had fair lacing.
The aroma was moderately strong with the scent of roasted bread malts, mild resin hops and a dark leathery yeast with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, and molasses.
It tasted nice and malty with a hint of bitterness and a dose of coffee at first and finished with a strong bitter and a mild sweet flavor that had a hint of chocolate at the end. The flavor that was left did not nearly last long enough.
Mouthfeel was medium in body and a little watery yet a tad creamy in texture with a very soft carbonation.
Overall not a bad Porter, although it was rather tasty it could of had a little more body for my liking. With that said I enjoyed it totally and it is definitely worth a try.
heavy roast with a long lasting finish. medium light body. really tasty stuff. my only complaint is that it says mocha but i taste no chocolate vinivini (3011) - Gomel, BELARUS - NOV 18, 2017
Bottled. Deep brown to black. Opaque. Well-lacing head of beige. Aroma: coffee & roasted malts / barley. Restrained fruit esters. Light to medium body. Rather dry taste. Roast, coffee. Some hops. Good. Let someone guess: porter or stout? coil (152) - Reading, Berkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 10, 2017
330ml bottle from The Grumpy Goat, Reading. Black colour with light tan head. Big dark roasted malts, espresso, coffee beans, light mocha - more espresso than mocha, light dark chocolate. Bush_Docta (407) - - OCT 30, 2017
Dark brown with a thick, dense head and impressive lacing. The aroma is chocolate, cocoa, cappuccino and caramel. The taste is mainly chocolate and coffee, some roasted malts. Very tasty, nicely balanced between sweetness and roastiness. Medium to full body, very smooth, long coffee aftertaste. Very good. artyom (1173) - Osijek, CROATIA - OCT 30, 2017
0.355l bottle. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, some chocolate and pronounced coffee character. Taste is roasty, and it is dominated by coffee. Overall it's nice and interesting porter.

Bill Becker (1809) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - OCT 18, 2017

Poured from 12oz bottle a very dark brown with a large head of foam that subsides after a w2hile leaving a nice solid layerwith lacing.
The smell is a nice mix of sweet caramel malt and coffee.
The taste is strong on the caramel, chocolate and coffee and they all hit you right up front. Tasty. The finish ends on the hoppy side with a nice bit of bitterness that yearns for another sip. Very smooth and it's a very good drinker. Yum.
Bottom line: A very tasty interpretation of an American Porter that has no apparent negative aspects. I recommend it.
Thanks to Wasatch for this sample! Holmen2 (4043) - NORWAY - OCT 2, 2017

12floz bottle, no date, $2.25 as a single, pint glass. It has been about a decade since I last tried this beer, and it is much as I remembered it to be. Dark brown with a light layer of head. Brown sugar and licorice aromas noted. Robust is what this porter has going on, roasted bitterness of burnt caramelized toast and dark coffee grounds. This taste lasts a while afterwards, even though it is somewhat watery. I think I can pass on this for another decade.
