UPDATED: JUL 30, 2011 Bottle. Poured a very dark brown with a medium (1-2 fingers) sized creamy tan head that was mostly lasting and had fair lacing.
The aroma was moderately strong with the scent of roasted bread malts, mild resin hops and a dark leathery yeast with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, and molasses.
It tasted nice and malty with a hint of bitterness and a dose of coffee at first and finished with a strong bitter and a mild sweet flavor that had a hint of chocolate at the end. The flavor that was left did not nearly last long enough.
Mouthfeel was medium in body and a little watery yet a tad creamy in texture with a very soft carbonation.
Overall not a bad Porter, although it was rather tasty it could of had a little more body for my liking. With that said I enjoyed it totally and it is definitely worth a try.

Copenhagen 22/5 2017. 35,5 cl bottle from Skjold Burne. Che Guevara type salutint with a clenched fist and a mug of Michael Porter on the label. Pours opaque dark brown with off-white head. Settles as almost transparent thin layer of foam. Not much Lacing. Aroma is pleasant and strong. Dark roasted malts, light coffee bitterness, brown sugar, a tiny whiff of smoke and dark chocolate. Soft carbonation and medium thick palate. Flavor is quite light without being bland. Quite good balance between sweetness and good strong coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is bittersweet. Easy to drink and very pleasant porter. josanguapo (1624) - SPAIN - MAY 17, 2017

Toasted malt aromas with some coffee. Very dark brown with a very thin tan head that dissipates quickly. Lots of lacing. Coffee tastes with malt and chalk notes very well balanced. Low carbonation and high drinkability. AaronIPAAPA (180) - Warsaw, POLAND - MAY 7, 2017
Barwa ciemna, przebłyski pod światło. Niska piana, szybko opada. W aromacie kawa i jakby troszkę wanilii. Niskie wysycenie. W smaku kawa, paloność, delikatna kwasność. Piwo zdecydowanie wytrawne. Dosyć wodniste. VDuquerroux (1647) - Airvault, Haut-Poitou, FRANCE - MAY 6, 2017
Bottle, 12 fl. oz. 5.6% abv. Home. A pitch black beer with a medium beige head ; medium retention. Roast, red berries, caramel, candied fruits, black chocolate, herb, resin. Medium to sharp dry lasting bitter ; thirst-quencher ; sweet note. Medium good body, light to medium texture, soft carbonation, dry roasty bitter finish. Overall, good ! (14=15-1) ; I didn’t get the coffee aroma, more "chocolate" character to me.
