lusikka (7833) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 28, 2015
650 ml bottle. Pours a black colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of toasted malts, dark chocolate and yeastiness. Flavour of harsh grainy malts, earthiness, mild saltiness, nuttiness and bread. Light bodied and thin mouthfeel. Not my thing.

650ml bottle

Pours dark brown with a smooth head. Aroma of malts, spices, toffee, syrup, hints of roastiness and earthy notes. Taste is smooth, spicy and a bit weird with hints of earthy notes, tea, toffee, syrup and roastiness. Finish is roasty, a bit weird and spicy with hints of earthiness and syrup. A bit strange.

65 cl bottle (5.0% abv). Importer BBE 12/2014.
Pours dark brown color with a large off-white head. Aroma doesn’t feel very fresh, some cardboard, hay, some weird herbal notes, mild hops and fruits. Sweet cola on the flavor, lemon, some malts and grass, gooseberries on the background. Quite weird. Not really my thing.

A nice black ale. Pours a deep black with a thick tan head. Smells of rice pudding and French toast with a bit of hops. Taste is quite crisp, with more rice cakes, chocolate malts and a slightly hoppy finish with a bit of a flour-like fizziness on your tongue.

slowrunner77 (13205) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 4, 2014
nice beer, quite malty and heavily roasted (ie-lightly hopped for Rogue) with a dry light spiciness throughout.
