Didn't buy this, but managed to weasel my way into a free sample. Some good stuff. Great fluffy head. Nothing special in the color. Good body, no stinky, and a healthy lager taste. Could be a fine session beer. Rogue, how I love you!! Perkeo (322) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 1, 2003
Bottled(beautifully!) version. Dusty, thick looking gold juice with a fabulous bready aroma with tropical fruit blossom notes, not strong but nice and persistant. Viscous watermelon pulp mouthfeel with tannins and noble bitterness clamping down a couple of bites up from the tail. Rogue's best ever for this guy. nstal (237) - Houston, Texas, USA - SEP 1, 2003
Had this guy in a nice little visit to the brewery in Newport. If you ask me, this is what I'll look for in the future out of a pilsner. It has the basic pilsner flavor, yet this one actually has a back bone. Very smooth, hides the alcohol. Probably good it\'s one of those pub only brews (except for the cool limited edition bottles, but i'm not sure how far out those get), because this is the kind of beer that could sneak up on someone. elnadeau (786) - Laguna Niguel, California, USA - AUG 25, 2003
Sampled at Stone 7th celebration. Cloudy gold, healthy white head. Very unique, a really strong pils with +hops and actual flavor. Would like some more. SDbruboy (1863) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 24, 2003
On draft at Stone 7th Anniversary Party. After standing in line for 10 - 15 minutes at the Rogue booth, I found out that all they had to pour by then was a pils - not usually my favorite. The guy said it was an Imperial Pilsner so what the heck... Hazy yellow color with a nice white head. Malty, malty aroma with floral hops. Flavor is good! Sweet and malty more ale like character, rich and full with lots of hops and noticible alcohol. Full body, moderate carbonation and drinkable. Nice unique brew and my favorite pils.

I had this on draft at Stone's 7th anniversary party.
Appearance: It's cloudy orange/yellow colored with a modest head.
Flavor: It feels thick and buttery on the tongue. It has a hoppy taste with some maltiness thrown in.
All in all, it's quite nice legion242 (2348) - Richardson, Texas, USA - JUL 29, 2003
UPDATED: DEC 10, 2003 Now, I must admit that I drank this beer out of the brightening tank right before it was to be bottled, but man, what a great beer- very heady. The alcohol is very evident and the saaz will kick your ass. Definitely a palate destroyer. Crit (4116) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 9, 2003
Tap at the Archer: Opaque amber. Fresh hop nose. Light malt flavor with massive hops. Great body. Good but not in the traditional style Gusler (2652) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - OCT 20, 2000
Had this beer at a 'Beer Fest', understand it is available in the bottle? Very hoppy, very robust, decent malt and hop floral nose.
