2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
It poured a pale yellow with a big white head. The hops came through first and lasted through a lingering aftertaste. The hops seemed to mask the effects of any malt. It was light and refreshing on a hot day, but out of balance. The term Imperial implies strong or extreme. In this case it appears to mean over-hopped.
Bottle from Morimoto restaurant. Musty aroma with slight hops. Pleasant fruity taste. Enough of a hop bite to hide the booziness. Bready. Good! Bill Becker (1906) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - OCT 17, 2017

Poured from bottle(room temp) a clear medium gold with a large head that dissipated slowly.
The smell is pretty subdued with faint hints of hops and that overall "pilsner" aroma.
The taste is a very pungent bitterness up front that makes my mouth pucker...I kid you not! Mid way, the bitterness settles down and becomes more of a citrusy flavour that carries through to the aftertaste. And...I find the alcohol in this imperial definitely noticeable but not in the "Malt Liquor" kind of way; it's soothing, and would be welcome on a cold winter's night.
If you add up what I just wrote, you might think that I don't favour this brew all that much but guess what? I liked it enough to say to myself, I'm buying this one again.

No carbonation or head. Very opaque. Green aple aroma and raw hops.
Big bitter bite that lingers and some hop taste. Medium body.
On tap @ Rogue SF. Pours clear dark golden with thin creamy off-white head that laces well. Aroma is light sweet pils malt, with a slight corn note throughout. Dry, floral hops on the back. Taste is a big sweet light-bodied malt, boozy and thick. Same floral hops, though they really get overwhelmed by the hefty malt bill. Lingers slightly bitter on the finish. Pretty good as imperial pilsners go. SlackerMads (3543) - DENMARK - AUG 4, 2016
Bottle with Sune and Theis. Hazy golden, medium sized nicely lacing white head. Effervescent. Grain, green plants, dry flowers, booze. Full body, some sweetness, heavy bitter, dry. Ok, but fairly boozy and bitter.

Bottle from Mads in Sommerhuset. Pours a clear golden with a small white head. Quite sweet with a medium bitterness. Aromas of sprucey hops with notes of soap and alcohol. Medium to full bodied. Medium carbonation. Bitter finish. Ngejo (1000) - Jakarta, INDONESIA - APR 28, 2016
Tap. Orange, cloudy, rocky head, tan foam, medium bitterness, full body, oily feel, average carbonation, & long finish. tekstr1der (501) - New Hampshire, USA - JAN 3, 2016
One strange brew, this pours a cloudy, headless murky pale gold. Aroma is nice and malty with a sweetness and some floral hop. Flavor is initial malt and some honey up front (nice), but quickly hits with a bitter/astringent bite mid-sip that lasts through the finish and leaves the throat dry. tdtm82 (1701) - Essex, ENGLAND - DEC 1, 2015

White lacing. Golden semi-hazy appearance. Aroma is huge spices, some grain, musty sweaty socks. Taste is spices, sweet caramel, malty body, oxidation. Ok but not amazing,
Hazy golden amber pour with small off white head. Aroma of malts, hops, caramel, slightly floral and grains. Taste of malts, hops, slight caramel, grains and slight citrus. Full bodied, lower carbonation, creamy mouthfeel, crisp hop finish. A little boozy up front but a delicious beer!
