Ceramic bottle 750ml. w. swing top @ The Danish Summer Gathering, TFODRBSG12, Ulfborg.
Clear medium yellow colour with a small average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, grass. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light heavy bitter with a long duration, grass, dry, very hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Sample from bottle at Ølbaren, thanks to sk8viking. Pours unfiltered orange with white head. Grassy bitterness in the aroma... Taste is bitter-hops. Ends malty with a touch of bitterness. Ungstrup (37674) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 10, 2007
Ceramic bottle. A dark golden beer with a bubbly whipped cream like off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with a strong hop presence giving it notes of grass, herbs, and citrus. The flavor is sweet malty at first, but very soon first the hops hits the tongue with notes of grass, grapefruit, hay and herbs, and then the alcohol comes a long with a power, that makes its presence known, then the alcohol resides a bit, to leave a quite acidic grapefruity note towards the quite bitter end. Now this is a complex interpretation of a pilsener. joergen (28174) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 17, 2007
Hazy amber coloured with a medium sized white head.
Malty aroma of hops and caramel.
Sweet and hoppy flavour of malts, caramel and grape fruits.
Light hoppy finish.

Pale golden colour with a small white foamy head, that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is sweet malts, bready malts, some fruity and grassy notes along with some slight notes of grains and alcohol. Flavour is quite similar, but lacks the grainyness. A quite biting, but pleasant, Imperial Pils.
Bottled. Golden coloured. Fruity nose with a hint of acidity. Deep rounded malt profile. Very sweet with a hoppiness that grows towards a very bitter finish. A fancier take on Polish mocný, but certainly no pilsener. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 14, 2007
(Ceramic bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of sk8viking. Pours a very unclear, pale golden with a white head - looks pretty much like a Belgian Wit. Clean aroma of malt. Has a solid, full body with lots of pale malts and then a somewhat raw bitterness in the finish. Not overly convincing. 060407 cgarvieuk (24536) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 20, 2013
bottle at home ... golden amber ... thin white head ... soft floral dry grassy fruits ... light fizz .. dry hop ... massive grassy hop ... soft toffee .. Leighton (21296) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 14, 2009
On tap at Rattle n Hum. Imperial pilsners are great. You get that crispness of a lighter beer with the alcoholic kick of a heavier beer. The Morimoto is a fine example of this preference. Pours a light yellow with a rich white head. Nose is dry hops and mild malt. Flavor is slightly bitter and hoppy. Body is decently carbonated. Overall a great experience.
