Tastes nothing like an "amber ale". This is a raw, straight up ALE ale, and it’s a real good one. Looks good, smells great, taste is crisp and fairly dry, with a hint of that biere de garde-type dirtiness on the finish. Super smooth going down, I wish I could have a buck wild session with like 5 bombers, but all things considered I’m incredibly lucky to have even gotten my hands on one of them. I’ll take what I can get. Dogbrick (13547) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 10, 2010
Sample at Rogue Ales Distillery & Public House. This beer is a slightly hazed amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Citrusy hops aroma with notes of caramel and malt. Medium body with flavors of hops, zesty citrus and malt. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitterness. Decent overall.
