Bottle from Booth's supermarket in Ripon, Yorkshire. Pours a lightly hazed dark amber body with a thin off white head. Nose is grapefruit, rich malts, jammy, marmalade, pine resin, fruit, some floral notes, herbs, digestive biscuit, grass and green apple. Taste is bitter, alkaline and some sourness. Bottle. Pours a hazy orange-borwn colour with a beige head. Aroma of ammonia, weed, bread, pine, dried fruit and sap. Hoppy flavour of pine, grass, little caramel, grapefruit and sap. Has a slick mouthfeel, medium to full body, medium to heavy bitterness. A very hoppy IPA with malty undertones. Maybe a bit unbalanced, but anyway tasteful and aromatic. UPDATED: SEP 24, 2017 22 oz bomber Bottle. It poured a dark gold with a big frothy tan head with very nice retention. It has a strong hoppy aroma with notes of spices - rye- and pine. The bitterness level is moderate. A strong IPA.
