Cloudy amber beer, no real head. Full flavoured rich beer. Immediate bitter sweet attack from the hops. Light sweet fruit followed by a marmaladish smooth mid. Finishes very slightly aniseed spicy with more orange and and tangerine hop fruitiness and bitterness. Has a real deft touch this beer - mouth watering and keeps you coming back for the next swig!

Dull pale beige. Hazy. Peach, peanuts, pear, chewy malts and plum. Scattered flavours - pear, peach, light chocolate. Hints of toast, maybe earth. The peach/pear notes are typical of a young high-test pale brew, which this clearly is. There’s nothing cohesive about it. A light splash of alcohol comes in late, mercifully cutting through the cloying sugars. Give it time, the more the merrier.
Ceramic swingtop bottle pored a clear copper with a large lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and citrus. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, grapefruit rind and a hint of pine with lingering bitter finish. Not bad, but not worth $20 a bottle! Tmoney99 (14481) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 21, 2007
