Big pink gimmicky bottle from Rogue. Pours out amber color topped with a tan . Nose is light roast some bread malts a little caramel and maple sweetness along with some smoked meat. Taste is as the nose with some fake sweet taste bread malts and smoke meat.

Pours a very large amount of frothy off-white head. Has a dark amber/coppery appearance. Excessive carbonation. Has a fairly strong smokey aroma with nice subtle hints of the bacon and maple coming through. Notes of toffee and sweets also. Flavours are pretty much what to expect. Mostly mild bacon and maple notes and also a bit of toffee (like aroma) and some caramel, nuts and mild spices as well. Medium bodied with a pretty smooth, slick and creamy mouthfeel. Somewhat bitter in the finish. Pretty good and mixing up bacon and maple makes it like we’re having some pretty tasty breakfast! :p

Large shared 2012 (?) bottle that didn’t get finished even with 5 people sharing it (although there was plenty of competition in the form of better beers). Very smoky aroma and too much smoke in the flavor. Overall: Sound good? ... look into Funky Buddha. This one is a smoky-sweet mess.

Bottle share at Evernote in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is smoke, light bacon, very mild maple. Taste is surprisingly crisp... a little bready. I was expecting much more maple / sickly sweet malts, and although it was surprisingly drinkable, it could have used more maple / malt backbone.

Pours a nice medium amber. Aromas of malt/pepper/smoke. Flavor is smoke/roast malt with a nice sweet maple bite finish and aftertaste.

beerbill (3619) - Laurel, New York, USA - JAN 2, 2016
750 ml Pepto Bismol colored pink bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a moderate fizzy pancake colored head that lasted through the first sip and left no lace. The aroma is pleasant and reminiscent of maple syrup and bacon. The flavor is another matter. There is no sign of maple at all. Very smokey, almost like drinking an ashtray. Unappealing. Thin bodied. I finished the first glass I poured for myself but the rest of it I left in the bottle. Disappointing.

Peanut butter taste but watery and a little hoppy. Not so good. ---Rated via BeerBuddy for iPhone. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle poured into a teku. The beer is a hazy copper color with a white head of foam. The aroma reminds me a lot of a maple stick doughnut. The beer is kind of old, so i wonder if maybe the bacon character has left the beer, because i dont get much if any of that. Very sweet and sugary beer. Not something to drink in quantity, but in a 4 ounce sample this could be fine.

Bottle. Pours a hazy brown beer with a quickly disappearing light beige head. Aroma of bacon, smoke and caramel/syrup. Basically exactly what the beer name says is what you get. Flavor has of bacon and barbecue in there, sweet syrup notes as well. All the flavors you’d expect are in here, so that’s a plus for me. Finished an entire bottle by myself, so I kinda liked it. Really cool stuff they’re trying to do.
