Don’t get me wrong, I would happily session this. It’s much better than Macro Cream Ale offerings around. Just not a killer beer. It’s a light straw with a white film of a topper. Wheat, honey and hay be the smell, the taste is the same with light floral notes and some wee bitterness. Soft carbonation and a tad oily. monk191 (2023) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 31, 2014
Overall an ok cream ale. Pours an ugly fellow. Smells slightly floral. Taste is like a pilsner, but a bit creamier. Had on tap at the brewpub. lefossoyeur (615) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 21, 2012
Golden blonde with a huge white head. Aroma is mainly grainy and corn. Light body, grainy, a bit sticky, finishing short on a Dms corn note. Nothing toremember. Spab (3969) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 4, 2010
On tap at brewpub. Pours a clear light yellow/gold with thin white head but some lacing. Mild grains in the aroma. Taste is mostly stale grains, fairly acidic. Light carbonation and light body. My least favourite of the R.R. beers. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 28, 2008
Clear light golden with nice white head and lacing. Very subdued nose is not yielding enough but is clean. Soft gentle mouthfeel is nice and velvety. Lingering aftertaste is hoppy, grassy, and dry. Enters sweeter, though, with pale malts and cream predominating.
glennmastrange (2897) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - MAR 12, 2008
Draught. Light aromas of grain and grass and a faint spiciness. Head is thin, white with no lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is clear gold. Flavor starts moderately acidic and finishes lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is light, dry and has a fizzy carbonation. A clean, crisp beer with nothing really remarkable. Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - NOV 14, 2007
On tap in the Rogues Roost Brewpub. Clear golden appearance with a thin white head. Sweet honey flavour. Average ale, nothing stands out. muzzlehatch (4969) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 8, 2007
Draught sample at the brewpub, May 2007. A hazy, light yellow body with very little head....lightly malty, lemon-lime sodalike nose, perhaps a hint of dry grasses......mild character in the body, light pale malts, a bit of toastingess, no hops noted really, not at all unpleasant but very dull. probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - APR 12, 2007
Sampled at the brewpub, cold. AP11/07LadyCooper (100) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - MAR 13, 2007
App.: Clear, light golden, no head.
Aroma: Light cereals and biscuits, faint peach/apricot, no detectable hops until it warms.
Palate: Medium-light body, soft carbonation.
Flav.: Light pine/grapefruit hops, very subtle malt; dry with almost no bitterness.
Smooth and easy – a beer for the masses.
Light gold with a very little aroma. Hoppy with a bit of a malty creamy aftertaste, but not smooth enough for a cream.
