COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The word "honeymoon" originated from the tradition of giving newly weds a moon’s supply (month’s) of mead on their wedding night. This sweet mead is balanced by a delicate oaking in bourbon barrels. Complex & rich in taste.

At the meadery. Clear golden. Honey aroma with bourbon barrel that doesn’t quite work for me. Sweet.

Bottle sampled at Rohan, pours a clear blonde. Aroma brings out medium sweet honey and a touch of oak. Flavour is medium sweet, with light oak, medium sweet honey and treacle. Not that cohesive - not feeling the aging as elegantly as intended. Very good.

Yellow. The aroma has a lot of bourbon and oak notes, as well as some honey and sugar. The flavor follows suit with the oak and honey notes coming through strongly. I also get a little vanilla and sugar. The bourbon is more present in the aroma than flavor. Medium to thick mouthfeel.
