500ml bottle at Kookfest, September 2006. Thanks to Mungo for bringing this one along. Attractive chestnut brown colour. Rather bready in both aroma and flavour. Quite sweet too although there’s a touch of bitter hoppiness that relieves that a bit. I found myself rather liking this beer but I’m not entirely sure why. Never mind.

duff (5485) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 24, 2006
Bottle. Very sweet and sticky. Lots of toffee/caramel sweetness, with some soy sauce for good measure and some added stickyness. Finish was lightly salty. Sweet.

Bottle (Chris_o Gathering06): Copper with a beige head. Sweet choc and caramel there too. Bit bland but a nice chugging dunkel.

3.2
pivnizub (11052) - Bochum, GERMANY - AUG 16, 2006
Bottle (Pivni Galerie, Prague): Dark ruby-amber coloured, small, stable off-white head; sweet, grainy, caramelly nose with a tinge of herbal aromatic hops; sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; sweet malty finish, becoming drier, hoppier and almost a bit toasted in the aftertaste; well hidden alcohol. A well balanced Dunkles...........
