Rolling Rock was once a notable American beer, but when the Latrobe brewery closed and Anheuser-Busch InBev started brewing under the brandname in St.Louis they ran it straight into the ground. I salute and lament the old Rolling Rock. The current rendition is reminiscent of skunk piss. The malt flavors are off, the water source sucks, the carbonation is wrong, the taste is actually unpleasant - in short the only thing that is still the same is the bottle design.
Sweet light summer lager. High in carbonation, sweet grass taste, not very complex, can drink a lot of these. donandres (618) - Makati, PHILIPPINES - AUG 25, 2017
Bottle poured to pint glass very cold beer
Sight: Light yellow head, a lot of lacing
Aroma: scent smell of malt, nothing else
Taste: not really great
Mouth feel: very carbonated
Overall: good beer for hot weather, specially camping outdoors, inexpensive

Bottle, UK brewed, source not recorded. Backlog entry. Entering my historic scores for US beers whilst visiting New York. No tasting notes kept, just rating. pachecoweld (20) - California, USA - AUG 18, 2017
Decided to try this one out since it was on sale at the local grocery store for $4.99 for a 12 pack. Nice crisp light lager with just the right amount of carbonation. Little grassy little citrusy. Very drinkable and refreshing. Not a mind blowing flavor packed beer, but that’s not what it’s meant for. Perfect of summer BBQs and relaxing outside phranq (250) - - AUG 5, 2017
Pale crisp and plain. Better than Bud Light. For a barbeque......................

I think what I smell is the yeast, no other clear and distinct aroma comes through. The color It formed a thick head and is pee yellow in color. It’s bland, even for an extra pale lager(?). I sampled this because I remember not liking it, and still don’t. Though it’s not as bad as I remember. mabuzzer (896) - Hamilton, SCOTLAND - JUL 8, 2017
12oz can in New York. Fizzy yellow generic lager. Corn syrup in abundance, but OK if it’s cold enough gripweed57 (2794) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - JUL 7, 2017
From old tasting notes when it was brewed in Latrobe, PA. Clear pale gold color with a foamy white head and lots of big bubbles. Light malty aroma has a wisp of sour hops. Upfront, tangy, dry and grainy malt. Middle is light grassy hops. Finish is faintly bitter nd brief. Grainy notes and somewhat fruity. An excellent hot weather brew. bunget (1010) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 27, 2017
Can. Clear yellow body, big white head with good retention and lots of lacing. Aroma of grains, rice, corn, herbs and mineral water. Medicinal taste of rice, grains, some herbs and plastic. On the watery side. bulldogp04 (28) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 7, 2017
Tastes like an extra pale rock that was once rolling but now is not - really wish this small brewery would produce more of this style - I really dig it while I am eating a brewmasters platter of durian fruit and Limburger cheese - helps enhance the aromatics and flavor of both.
