Bottle at Smokin Joe’s, Sarasota, FL. Pourd clear dark amber color with a white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Light pleasing sweet malty and grain aroma. Medium body. Refreshing balanced flavor with clean finish of moderate duration. Drinkable main line brew. slowrunner77 (13206) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 15, 2014
originally rated 2008(?):
worlds better than the other RR beers I’ve had (in that I don’t MIND finishing). Some malt descernable, not much in the way of hops. Also not skunky, so that’s a plus. jcwattsrugger (12559) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - DEC 19, 2008
12 oz bottle-pours an off white head and copper color. Aroma is medium malt-burnt caramel/peat, slight spice/herbal hops. Taste is malt-caramel/peat, slight spice/herbal hops. OK/mild carbonation. Medium side of light body. Thanks kwatts1014 for picking this out. hopscotch (11451) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 5, 2008
Bottle... Clear amber lager with a mid-sized, wispy, white head. Decent retention. Sweet, nicely toasted nose... biscuit, cookie and a little cheap perfume. Medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. Leans on the sweet side of balance. Sweet toffee and restrained bitterness. Lightly acidic. Finishes sweet and grainy. PorterPounder (8364) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 26, 2008
Tallahassee, Fl. - Publix Supermarkets - 12 oz bottle. Medium copper colored pour, medium sized white head that sticks around for a while. Sweet aroma, hints of toffee, hard candy. Flavor has a touch of caramel, some sweet candy corn notes. Mouthfeel is slightly thick, but just a bit too artificially sticky. Overall though, not a bad lager - not overly upset that I bought a six - will make a nice thirst quencher after working in the yard.

Copper pour with creamy white head and lace. Light caramel and sweet corn. Sweet to a fault flavor with a sour twang at the end. Slick and cloying mouthfeel. Not a really bad beer just well you know. Aurelius (5662) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 26, 2008
Wow, looks like Tallahassee gets a dubious beer ’first’. Slightly toasted malt aroma, over corn - vaporous and tickles the nose a bit, but not too impressive. Poured into my Margaritaville Pilsener of Low Expectations. Medium-light red-brown. A respectable head initially. Green bottle wth screw-off top, painted red bronco that made me think "cowboy beer". Watery chocolate, moderate astringency, low bittering, toasty, reasonably dry, some grassiness. Medium to slightly light bodied. I guess this is going to be AB’s attempt to compete with what looks like a growing Yeungling presence here in the panhandle. This is a fair attempt - much better than regular old Rolling Rock, not as good as Yeungling Lager, which usually has a better price point. Picked this fine specimen up at the Bradfordville Petro. nick76 (4403) - Tampa, Florida, USA - APR 28, 2008
I have to break from the current convention here and say that I don’t like this one. The aroma is off putting and somewhat putrid (cigarette butts and grain)! It’s almost stale and skunky despite being really fresh? There is some toffee however. The appearance is like a cola with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma with only the toffee flavor saving it. The finish is sweet. The palate is thin. Overall I do not like this. Butters (4062) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - FEB 7, 2009
Bottle at decaturstevo’s Februmergency Tasting for those of us that missed out on Sexual Chocolate ’09. Pours a nice clear amber with thin layer of light tan head. Nose of apples, some iced tea notes. Flavors of caramel, corn, and sweet malt. Fair I suppose. SpringsLicker (3685) - Tennessee, USA - FEB 8, 2009
Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing this one at his Februmergency Tasting.
This clear dark amber with an average sized off-white head.
Sweet, slightly medicinal aroma and flavor with a touch of band-aid.
