רונן הבירה המכוערת
בירה הודית
לשעבר "רונן ההודית המכוערת".

Formerly known as "Ronen HaHodit HaMekhoeret India Pale Ale" (Ronen The Ugly Indian).

Flaska från Beeratenu, Jerusalem. En lite oljig och kryddig IPA. Apelsinzest, ceder, medelstor beska. Trevlig.

Tasting at Matt’s
Hazy amber color. A bit buttery and chalky, too much bread and caramel for an IPA, and resiny hops; kind of hoppy Amber Ale, chaotic but not bad.

330ml bottle @ Matt’s. Pours a dark amber brown colour with a small white head. Nose is lightly pine, and caramel malt. Flavour is light sweet caramel, bitter pine, with a grapefruit pith finish. The overall mouthfeel has a somewhat oily feel to it.

Cloudy, some orangey hop nose, with a bit of yeastiness. Bitter, yeasty, a touch of citrusy hop brightness. OK, bit too yeasty but overall this isn’t bad.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy dark amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma is very fruity, with some red fruits, with faded resinous hops, and bready caramel malt. Flavour is sharp on the hoppy astringency, with resinous hops, some pine, moderate red fruitiness character, and dry biscuity malt. Finishes with a pleasant hoppy astringency. Decent.

CanCrusher (1067) - Ilirska Bistrica, SLOVENIA - DEC 29, 2016
Bottle 0,33L. Courtesy of Kita. Clear, dark copper/amber color with big, frothy, off-white head. Light aroma of pine, caramel, pepper. Taste starts caramely and heavy bitter with a hint of burnt malt and heavy bitter finish. Medium body, dry texture and soft carbonation. Another nice, very bitter ipa from Israel.

mike_77 (6600) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - OCT 30, 2016
Golden colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have lots of perfumed, candied fruits. Piney hops. Loses a bit of flavour intensity in the finish.

Kind of sweet strong taste with lot’s of different flavor which somehow doesn’t quite come together for me
