Bottle 33 cl. Deep brown with a dense, off-white head. Malt aroma with notes of raisins. Fairly solid body with plenty of roasted malt. It reminds me a bit like Westmalle dubbel. Dry but not overly hoppy. Not bad. Benzai (16931) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 24, 2013
Bottle @ home. Very nice clear deep dark red color with a medium sized beige to light brown head that lasts for a decent while and leaves fair lacing. Don’t get a lot of aroma. Taste has malts, caramel, slightly chocolate, lightly some grains and decently sweet-bitter. Quite like it, nice abbey dubbel. Medium body and carbonation. Well done. madsberg (11799) - Søborg, DENMARK - MAR 30, 2006
Bottled: Amber coloured. Unclear. Huge light brown fluffy head. Sweet and caramelly nose. Notes of liqourice and brown sugar. Flavour is spiced , sweet, has caramelnotes and is fruity. Has notes of light liqourice. Medium bodied. Is fruity and spiced in the end. Good drinkability. KimJohansen (10498) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - JAN 17, 2008
[Session @ yespr] Clear brown with medium off white short lasting head. Sweet malty aroma with overripe fruits, alcohol and chocolate. Flavor is sweet malty wtih overripe fruits and chocolate. Nice warming end. Delicious. Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 20, 2008
Deep dark red colored with little light brown head. Raisinny and licoricy aroma with mild alcohol, good one. Flavor is richer with licorice, roastiness and some nice vinous touch, berries also present. This fine vinous note lasts in warming aftertaste, I like this dubbel.

Bottle. [Courtesy of BelJohansen, another great session @ yespr] Average creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Dark mahogany colour. Aroma of caramel, hint of sweet chocolate, hint of spice. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and hint of warming alcoholic texture. Moderated sweet flavour with light bitter and acidic notes. Sweet fruit finish that lingers. Quit good dubbel I thought. blutt59 (6609) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 29, 2008

Bittle at drunk monk ( yes, I have to travel to spain to find BE ticks ) pours dark, yet clear, caramelly brownm small white head, mddium stable. Loads of eggwhite islands on top. Medium lacing. Smell is sugar, in a more complex aromatic, dark fruity form. Taste has some oxidation / metallic aspects. The taste of chocolate you eat at easter, but you got it from santa. Some caramel. Leaves
Bit earthy pretty alright, actually. I love the fainted chocolate note.
