Calisky (2991) - ALSACE, FRANCE - APR 5, 2016
UPDATED: APR 9, 2016 Couleur jaune trouble, forte mousse. Bon nez fruité et raisin. Gout raisin (voir fruité pomme et agrumes) bien levuré avec bonne amertume, note d’alcool et petite astrigence en fin de bouche. Pas trop complexe mais intense et onctueuse.

23/01/2016 - 33cl bottle shared with my brother-in-law @ his friend’s place. Hazy orange golden with nice white head. Seems a typical dull tripel but somehow it tastes somewhat different or better than most. Some grains, some cake, than some refreshing citrus, spices. Good carbonation. Not bad at all.

Alengrin (5554) - BELGIUM - OCT 3, 2014
Contract brewed tripel for Ronse, with yellowish white, thinnish but sticky head and warm peach blond colour, orange hue, hazy. Fresh, green hops in the nose, celery, grapes, tomato, grapefruit, pepper, bread, some gin-like alcohol. Dryish malty taste with fruity accents, lively and assertive hop bitterness playing with the sweetish touches like a cat plays with a mouse. Alcohol, though somewhat apparent in the aroma, surprisingly stays well hidden in the mouth. I liked this tripel a lot, this is indeed a very fine example of the style.
