On tap at Rooftop, pours a cloudy dark bright orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out pungent oranges, some resinous hops and toasted caramel malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of candied oranges, some resinous hoppiness and some residual sweetness. A bit harsh on the phenols and bitterness. It’s okay. On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazed gold with a thin white head. Soft citrus on the nose, a touch of hops. Medium bodied, sweet and malty, drious a touch, caramel, toast, toffee. Spicy citrus, a nice bit of grapefruit into the finish.

Nose of darker toasted Malts some soft caramel earth pepper. Hops are subdued. Darker Amber pour nice head and lace. Flavors of darker toasted malts maybe a little roast earthy bitterness not much of an IPA profile really herbal pepper dirt. It tastes good though. Lingering chewy resins and roasted toasted malts. Draft at Chucks. Pours clear dark amber with white head. Aroma: deeply toasted malts, caramel, non descript spicy/slightly piney hop profile. Palate: full body, oily texture, average carbonation. On tap @ Rooftop. Pours hazy dark orangish copper with thin creamy head that fades quickly but laces well. Aroma is roasty caramel malt and big earthy vegetal hops. Taste is similar, roasty malt are strong bit not overly sweet. Hops are big and bitter; notes of pine, with light grass and grapefruit too. A more traditional style than the other Rooftop brews I’ve tried, but easily their best effort as well.
