At Rooie Dop, we dont really care about styles. But this is our version of an American IPA. Classic example of the style? Fits perfectly into the category? No. Does it need to be? It just needs to be pretty tasty! Chinook and Cascade hops dominate this beer and are assisted by a biscuity malty backbone. You just cant resist a Chica Americana!

Fles gedeeld met rikstar. Amber kleurig, licht troebel.

Bottle. Hazy Amber Brown in colour. Very foamy white head. Fruity; orange citrus, peaches. Quite spicy/peppery. Hoppy; floral hops, some pine. Malty; biscuity malts, caramel. Starts bittersweet citrus fruity and spicy. Ends quite bitter, very dry and rather salty. Decent. (2016-03-17)

Backlog rating. Draft at GBBF 2015. It pours a clean golden color with a small white head. Aroma is lightly sweet malty fruity with notes of lemon peel, grapefruit and pine cones. Taste is also medium sweet fruity with more notes of melon, caramel, grapefruit and citrus peel. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, nice one

Piwo Mocno alkoholowe, rozgrzewający finisz, przypominal raczej Imperialne IPA. Piana biala, srednia, ale trwala i dobrej jakości. Bardzo ciemne, brazowe i błotniste. Karmel, przypalony chleb w smaku i trochę pieczonych kasztanow. Zywiczny zapach i trochę cytrusow. Goryczka zalega i zalepia wraz z alkoholem gardlo.

(Rooie Dop Chica Americana IPA) Cant believe I havent rated this one, pretty sure I had it a couple of times, glad I found another bottle. Bottling date 12/11/14, 330 ml bottle served into a shaker, ABV 7.1% Dark orange to light amber coloured body, clear, with a tall but frithy off-white head, with low retention. Aroma has caramel ,malts, faint citrus, faint orange, spicy yeast. Taste is bitter with citrus, orange peel, pine, caramel malts, biscuit. Medium thin body, carbonation on the high side. Okay Id say.

Malts, caramel, hops, citrus, orange and slight grapefruit.

Hazy golden/amber beer with a lot of visible yeast and with a slight white head.

Starts moderate/heavy sweet with malts, caramel and hops; gets slightly sweet and medium bitter with orange and grapefruit.

Quite hazy amber colour. Nice aroma with caramel, fruit and some grass. Taste is well balanced, but quite light for IPA. Notes of citrus, wood, some hay, caramel. Strongly too much carbonisation - runs out of bottle. Nice beer, but carbo ruins it.
