UPDATED: JAN 12, 2014 (Bottling date: 4 March 2013) (Drinking date:10 January 2014). Pitchblack color, no light comes throug it. A thin layer of beige, creamy foam. Aromas: pure chocolate, sweet aroma, roasted malt, raisins a little bit of alcohol, licorice. Carbonaton: just a little bit. Really fine bubbles at the side of the glass. Taste: bitter. Sweet. Pure chocolate. Burned/roasted malt. Figs. Texture: a little bit too watery. It has to be just a little bit thicker, like syrup. That would have made this beer perfect. This is a really good, tastefull beer!!

Bottle at home, thanks to an IP trade with Ronny (rlgk), 29/12/13.
Pitch black with a good sized tan head that dissipates then stays for the show.
Nose is subtle bourbon, rich toffee fudge, cocoa, toasted marshmallow, light roast.
Taste comprises light roast, chocolate, well pitched bourbon, dark toffee fudge, brown sugars, charred wood.
Medium bodied with bite, soft carbonation, sweet closure with a nice level of bourbon going off.
This is a really slick and well made BA impy, good balance, never too hot, never too sweet and cloying, I’d return to this one anytime!

Bottle shared at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Black with a light brown head. Great roasty aroma of dark chocolate, bourbon, a bit of vanilla, cookies and oatmeal. Bittersweet flavor, roasty, with lots of dark chocolate, bourbon, a bit of vanilla, oatmeal and a more bitter finish, slightly alcoholic. Rather full-bodied. Very good.

12oz bottle via Summer Secret Santa 2013. Pours a watery, opaque black with some cloudy, tan head. Nose has lots of barrel, wood, vanilla, soy, nail polish, caramel, malt. Flavor is better, really smooth, lightly sweet, maple, soy, a little booze, black pepper, molasses. Smooth finish. Very nice.

armando629 (2456) - Budapest, HUNGARY - NOV 15, 2013
0,33 l bottle, DeMolen Shop.

Poured deep black with a minimal beige head, some laces on the surface. Powerful aroma of caramel, molasses, alcohol from bourbon, cask and burnt wood. Oily body with a huge ammount of alcohol, the bourbon rules the beer with some smoke and burnt wood, molasses and coffee, candy sugar and ash. A bit "too much"

Bottle at home 10th November 13. Pours an impressive dark liquid, little head, but some. Great, heady aroma, liquorice, tar, leather. From that very first taste you know this is great, massive flavour, perfect, low carbonation, smooth as silk on the palate, flavours are all there, sweet smooth, with the right amount of bourbon to complement the base beer. Excellent
