Noire. Collet immense. Forte effervescence. Riche. Sucré. Chocolaté. Biscuit à l'avoine. Belle amertume. Finale cacao torréfié. Très bien. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12ounce bottle .. nov ’13 on the bottle .. viscous black .. light carbonation . . charcoal and sharp oil .. easy stuff, hides the abv very well but don’t age this .. . . it sucks when you & your pal show up at a party wearing the same shirt...and an hour in, his chest hair starts sticking to your back.

Piwo nalało się z gęstą, brązową, drobna pianą. W aromacie intensywne nuty likierowe, wyczuwalny alkohol. Trochę kwaskowate. W odczuciu pełne, gęste, lekko likierowe. W smaku dość wytrawne, pozostawia lekko słony posmak. Wyczuwalna zdecydowana goryczka, trochę od alkoholu, trochę od słodów, trochę chmielowa. Niskie wysycenie, co pasuje. Mało wyraźne nuty owsiane. Piwo jest niezłe, ale nie powala. Piłem już lepsze Imperial stouty.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a deep black with some light brown highlights with no head. Aromas of soy sauce, dark chocolate, cream and molasses. Taste is soy sauce with a strong roasted cacao and malt character. Fairly smooth...almost pinot noir like in texture. Not really that special and bit boozy at the end. The oatmeal gives it a nice softness.

Bottle. Pours is dark with almost no head. Intense aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, caramel, coffee, nuts and fruity, I’d say bit of banana notes too. Taste is light to medium sweet, light bitter, lots of chocolate and some coffee notes. Heavy body, oily texture, flat carbonation, light bitter, medium sweet finish.

(330ml bottle @ PiBar, Lausanne, Aug 11 2015) Pours black with a big pillowy off white head and lots of lace. Aroma is not particularly strong, chocolate powder, softly grainy cereal/bread notes, coffee, light roast, anise, maybe some fruit. Palate is equally soft and balanced with a core of dark malts that are fairly sweet with milk chocolate, vanilla, dark fruit, oatmeal, liquorice, thin acidic roast like light roast coffee towards the finish. Medium-full and quite creamy in the mouth with soft carbonation. Feels great and the balance is good, but lacks some punch to stand out flavour-wise.

matbli (450) - Poznan, POLAND - AUG 16, 2015
Bottle 330ml, pours dark brown with almost no head. A lot of yeast and hop particles that make it look very bad. aroma of coffee, milk chocolate, raisins, dark fruits and honey. In taste medium sweetness well balanced with some light sourness and a bit ashy bitterness in the finish. Very low carbonation make it feel quite sticky, what lowers the drinkability a bit, but all in all it’s a nice and solid beer.
