draft, poured a dark brown color, medium sized tan head. Good lacing throughout the drink. Aroma was sweet malts with light fruity hops. The flavor was semi sweet, some bready flavors, caramel, with hints of fruity hops. Medium body. There is some complexity in this brew. Good finish. suprchunk (2994) - EffOff, Florida, USA - JAN 4, 2014
Deep brownish red colored pour. Big light khaki head. Plenty of leaving. Big malty aroma. Taste is tons of malt. Some chocolate notes and caramel. Very good.

A friend gave me one of these in a 120z bottle tonite. Reminded me of Seirra Neveda IPA. Toasted Malt with an earthy after taste. Nice complex mouth feel. I enioyed it so much a ran over to the beer distributor and bought a case tonite. Wiszard (34) - Derry, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 25, 2012
Bottle states blending of an Irish Style Red Ale and an American Amber Ale. This is a good beer for everyday drinking.

On tap at The Brass Tap poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of tobacco, earthiness and light caramel. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of tobacco, earthiness and light toffee with a smooth dry lingering tobacco finish. RONCOD (256) - Uledi, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 28, 2012
Pours a deep brown with a medium white head. Good flavor with a good bit of bitterness at the end. I’m still not sure if this is really an Irish beer though. Stldsf1 (659) - Florida, USA - APR 28, 2012
Deep amber red pour. Found this at Rooneys pub. Not a bad amber ale. Soft maltiness

Hanging out with some other people at a sports bar I chose to stay away from Southern Tier’s seasonal diabetes bombs. Instead I opted for this passable irish ale. It was good enough but if I were to visit Pittsburgh I’d look for East End’s interpretation of the style.
Aroma / Appearance - Caramel toned liquid bobs below a dirty white head. Caramel, red vines, and nutty aspects remind me of a candy bar in a glass.
Flavor / Palate - Caramel, honey, and almonds tease the palate. Eventually they settle down into red licorice that clings to the back of the throat. The dry finish isn’t bad but I felt like it could have had just a bit more. Even so this was a good start to the evening.
Quite good, quite like the style. Some watery and hoppy features but good in the whole of.
