Clear pale gold beer. Coriander added to the boil. Dry palate! Fruity - orange and yellow fruits. Coriander fruity citrus and sweetness. Nice.
Cask at JDW Standing order Edinburgh ... yellow ... thin white head ... light zezty fruit ... bright fruity hop with a little bite .... some lemon and mandarin in linger ... quite complex... harrisoni (18427) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2009
Cask handpull at The Hope Tap, JDW, Reading. Gold, lasting thick off white head. Looking forward to this as I like Roosters. Fragrant spice runs through it, doesn’t dominate but definite presence. Subtle perfumed spice on aroma, bit of caramel in flavour. Finish is pretty muted. Not very hoppy. imdownthepub (14448) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 20, 2009
Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Clouded Gold and flat. Intense flavours of pipe cleaner, lemony, fairy liqued. Really poor. Rune (12587) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAY 6, 2009
Cask, half pint served at the very right drinking temperature at The Wheatsheaf Bar in Stoke. Well kept beer with a delicious aroma of floral hops. Mild spiced taste with a discreet touch of soft grapefruits. Short bitter endnotes. Rather thin on the swallow. Golden-amber body with no head. Great aroma, but weaker in flavour (JDWs Real Ale Festival, 02.05.2009).

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 18/04/09. Golden in colour with a slight white head. Citrus hop and sweet malts aroma. Flavour had plenty of marmalade fruitiness, more citrus hops and a vague herbal edge, before a decent dry finish. Great stuff - a big dose of coriander was thankfully absent. UPDATED: APR 27, 2009 The Briar Rose (JDW), Birmingham. Straw with faint mist and a white slick. Faint passion fruit and vanilla ice cream aroma leaking out. Gorgeous mellow soapy hoppage hinting at fresh lemon rind and passion fruit, biscuity malts kicking in late on. Didn’t get the coriander at all thank god. Spice completely harmonious with the soft ripe tropical citrus and biscuit. Fine, floral, aromatic GA, and the best of the 30 festival beers I’ve had so far. A Mes rate. Cask handpull at Baker Street ‘Sporks. berkshirejohn (6449) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2009
Clean gold with a good white head. Spicy and fruity. Lots of grassy hops. Lovely and dry with a quality spiced hop finish. Straight forward but very tasty and drinkable and the added spice give it a lovely prickly feel and the flavours a real kick. Good stuff.
Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Straw with a thin white head; light citrus aroma; citrus flavours - lemon and lime, fruit sweetness and a touch of cloves. DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 2, 2009
Cask in the new crown. Alroudn rating: Not as spicey as expected, but the corriander is key, citrusy, herbal, grassy, very different and interesting, dry finish, but id like a tad more american hop.
