A swiftly quaffed pint at the tiny but characterful Blue Bell in York: Pale yellow with a white head. Floral and Weetabix aroma. Sweet citrus and biscuit flavours. Thin bodied in a good way. Crisp refreshing and made to be sessioned.

Cask in the Flower Pot, Derby. A pale golden ale with a small white head. Quite a smooth, oily feel to it. A bit watery tasting at first - all the flavour is in the finish which has lots of grapefruit and a touch of caramel. Decent stuff.
