COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Special;
This beer was created by Gareth Lester-Olivier, a home brewer who won the National Homebrew Competition, in 2010, and has been re-created exclusively for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival. This is an impressive IPA-style beer, with aromas of tropical fruit and a long, aromatic finish.

Cask Pint – JDW Fest Spring 2011 in Mar 2011 - Orangey-Amber in colour. Hoppy; resinous piney and grassy hops. Fruity; bitter orange citrus, some grapefruit, tropical fruit. Malty; toasty malts, caramel. Full flavoured. Mildly bitter citrus fruity hoppy beer. Liked this. Very drinkable. Nice beer! (2011-04-05)

Favourable pale ale with a fine hoppy nose and full of fruitiness in its flavour.

Cask Handpump at the Paramount JDW, Manchester 27/03/2011 Big pine hop aroma. Golden amber coloured fruity and hoppy pine flavour with a hint of bitterness and roast in a crisp and slightly creemy finish.

JDW Fest. Slightly hazy amber beer. Residual white head. Dryish palate. Dry malt. Some hop interest here but Nelson? A little bit of orange, very mild bitterness. Dry finish.

Cask @ Camperdown Place JDW. Slightly hazy rich golden brown colour with a good head. Honey, resin, citrus & tropical fruit aroma & flavour. Smooth with bitter sweet aftertaste. Somewhere between a strong bitter & golden ale.

[Cask at Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading] Had this immediately after the Feral the Runt and it suffered by comparison. Still fairly decent though - lots of bitter grapefruit with a bit of pine resin lurking in the background, But somehow lacked the character and distinctiveness of the Feral.

Cask, handpump at The Windmill JDW, Stanstead airport 08.04.11 Pours amber no head, touch boring for Roosters that said its fine enough beer. Mid bitterness, little fruity, fine but Roosters can do much better. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.2

Cask Conditioned handpump Cordwainer Northampton. A golden beer with a white head and lacing. Decent Cascade hops nose which cariies forward to the nicely tasty hoppy mouth. Don’t get any NS or Riwaka at all which is a shame, but it’s still perfectly respectable. My sample seemed a little tired though.

Cask @ Sir John Moore, JDW. Copper-orange colour off-wite head. Aroma is malty, fruity, sour, hint of dish cloth. Flavour is malty, fruity, grapefruits. Medium bodied and a fairly dry and slightly bitter finish. Very enjoyable.

Hand pulled at the Solomon Cutler, Birmingham. Pretty dry, with a little fruit sugar - perhaps Fruitella. With my new found knowledge of hops, I can taste the Sauvin. Robust, professional.
