BB 27/07/18. Poured a crystal clear golden with a two- to three-finger off-white dense foam head that retained well before slowly diminishing to a blotchy cap that laced OK. Carbonation moderate, lively and fine to medium. Aroma nicely of pine, and to a lesser degree tropical fruits, with hints of citrus (orange, grapefruit, lemon). Taste is quite fruity with citrus (orange zest, grapefruit) and sweet tropical fruits with a nice caramel malt balance; pleasant moderate bitterness. Light to medium body. Smooth with a slightly resinous mouthfeel, slightly dry and moderately bitter on the finish. Easy drinking.

Can. Hazy amber body. Medium white head. Tangerine, citrus, spice, gooseberry, sweet floral notes, sour strawberries, grass, herbs, lemon, artificial sour sweets, glucose syrup, tangerines, washing up liquid. Lip smackingly tangy and tannic. Dry finish. Rather good, even by the high standards of Roosters.

Bottle. Golden beer with a good head. The aroma is hopped with some richness, and a little yeastiness. The flavour is strongly bitter with good mellow roastedness and plenty of hops. Overall a nice bitter and rich flavoured IPA.

Off white weak head. Amber colour. Aroma is hoppy with fruity (mango, tangerine and grapefruit) notes. Flavor is moderately hoppy with fruity (grapefruit and tangerine) tones, ending in an hoppy and caramelly finish. Light to medium bodied.

Tasted this at the Troon BF on the 6th October 2017. Cask, gravity dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Strong Del Monte tropical fruit notes long in the hoppy nose. Thick resiny mouthfeel and poor lacing. Pale malt gives a very light digestive biscuit base with sweet intense tropical fruit flavours of mango, apricot, papaya and blood orange present in the mouth. Slight grapefruit note to the soft citrus flavour in the bitter aftertaste. Finish is bitter with juicy tropical fruit notes still evident on the palate with mango and apricot dominant. A nice IPA with more intense juicy fruit notes when compared to the much stronger Imperial IPA from Outstanding?
