Cask @ Veritas, Leeds. Black with a creamy off-white head and an easy-drinking texture. Only has a light roasted malt character, but still tasty enough. cgarvieuk (24536) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 4, 2015

Okay another swift half...Cask at Stockbridge Tap. Pours black, stout like. Tan head. Chocolate and burnt sugar malts aroma. Not what I was expecting in taste - some bubblegum flavours. Light on the treacle. Some old fashioned musky snuff flavour; possible Kendal brown. A tad thin in the middle possibly as the body is on the thin side. Burnt toast elements. All that said, the ABV is low. This is good. Leighton (21296) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2013
Cask at CBC Brixton - London. Pours black-brown with a frothy beige cap. The nose has a bit of ashy roast and dusty cocoa. Light to medium sweet flavor with charred malts, chalky cocoa, dusty earth. Light bodied with fine carbonation and smooth texture. Pretty decent balance to finish with milk chocolate, light earthy bitters, cocoa, supple roast. Easy going.

Cask handpull at Cask Pub & Kitchen Pimlico. Black beer lasting tan head. Down as a treacle stout. A little sweetness but then a dry finish. Some toffee in the mouth and then roast on the finish. Even a little whiskyish. Tasty. I mean not my style of beer but it’s good. dynamiteninja (1864) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - NOV 26, 2013
