Last Stand is a big, heavily-hopped beer that represents everything Roosters has become known for over the years; incredibly aromatic (grapefruit and strong tropical fruits), with a flavour thatll really pack a punch.
After 30 years of brewing and hundreds of awards, Sean and Alison Franklin are selling their brewery and retiring to Canada. This is their last-ever new beer, brewed with pale malt and the worlds best hops, to create a beer packed to the rafters with passion fruit and citrus flavours

Hand pulled cask at the Swan and Anchor (JDW) Chichester. Gold with a lively perfumed white head. Citra and NS hops are abundantly fresh in flavour and aroma, balancing the clean juicey malt profile perfectly. A fantastic beer for its strength and the best Roosters effort that I can remember. Lets hope that the new owners continue in this vein.

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a golden colour with a decent white head. Aroma is a little sweet with grassy hops, caramel and yeast notes. Similar flavours, quite bitter with a creamy mouth-feel. Nice lingering bitterness also.

[Cask at Wetherspoons, Milton Keynes] Deep gold with no head. Tropical fruits, pine, citrus, loads of hops yet still a reasonably full mouthfeel. Good stuff.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with white head. Lots of dry, hoppy notes, fresh, grapefruit, kiwi fruit sharp and really pleasant drinking. So good we had several pints, which is exactly how it should be.

allegedly their final brew before ownership transfers to the MTT chain. an excellent last hurrah in my opinion. poured a pale golden straw with a tight white head, good lacing. lots of fruit in the aroma, particularly grapefruit. the mouth fell is slightly thin, but packs a fruit filled punch. lingering bitterness in the finish. if i was being really picky Id have to say it was a second fiddle to Yankee, but nevertheless it is still an excellent brew.
