Poured a deep reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma of roast coffee and dark chocolate. Medium to full body, flavour is perhaps biased a bit too much in favour of the coffee, some sweet milky chocolate hidden in the background.

Black color with a fine beige head on top. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium (+) body and a soft to average carbonation level. Tad sweet and a decent bitterness. Dry ending, and also some sour notes. Mostly coffee, roast and toffee in the flavor.
[Bottle from a trade with Sigmund]
Keg tap at the Rake, Borough. Purple-black, very translucent with a small cream-coloured head. Liquorice, charcoal, and bramble all feature in the light aroma (I don’t get coffee at all). Sweet taste. The burnt malts are pushed to the background in favour of sweet blackberry and hazelnut. Very light body with heavy carbonation. Far more refreshing than your average porter, but lacking the body and depth of the best representations of the style. So a trade-off, but not an impossible one. Coffee porter though? I just don’t get that. Towey1989 (3162) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 13, 2017
Bottle at Beerdock Leek. Pours a deep brown colour with a medium tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, some roasted malts, slight fruit and subtle spicy hops. Taste of coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, some bready malts, slight fruit and subtle dark fruits. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A dryish, roasted chocolate bitterness in the finish. A very nice, well rounded Coffee Porter. Another great, solid beer from Roosters. uckelman (813) - Durham, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2017
On tap at Elm Tree, Durham. Creamy tan head. Chestnut brown, clear. Not a lot of aroma. Medium body. Medium bitter with lots of malt. Long, dry finish. Creamy texture.

Keg, half pint, shared with Finn while waiting for a Derby train at Sheffield Tap. Crocheted lacing from a low, beige head. Dark coloured body with a deep ruby tint. Rich aromas of dark bread with notes of liquorice and coffee. Flavours of dark dough, coffee, and liquorice. Roasted bitter finish. Decent version of the style (Sheffield 15.02.2016).
