Cask at Akkurat. Hazy golden. Hay and bread, ripe fruit. Dry and slender with soft mouthfeel. Gentle malt, rich hay-like floral hops. Distinct bitter finish. Crunchie (36) - Somerset, ENGLAND - JUL 10, 2008
With a couple of weeks maturation and a minimal amount of venting, this beer is stunning when first on. The description they give (as with all their beers) is spot on with the addition of grapefruit and some really firm malt. More of the same I’ve heard. Well there are similarities to most of their beers, of course - pale and hugely aromatic beer is something of a forte. The actual fruit flavours that derive from different uses of different hops is wonderful and sometimes subtle, sometimes bold. This has a big finish and the variety of fruits work very well together. Not good though if not looked after. As per. Really balanced bitterness that adds to the mouthwatering character, the aromatic fruits just lead on perfectly to the palate. Stillage @ CAMRA York Beer Fest, november 07. Shinny pale golden color with a small bubbly white head. Full, fruity flavor, lots of things going on: pineapples, strawberries, apples. Nice, full of character. Medium to light palate, malts blending really well with the highly fruity hops. Dry crispy finnish. Highly aromatic and perfumey citric hops. Hoppy, flavorfull light bitter. harrisoni (18801) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2008
Cask gravity at Reading BF 08. It’s funny, when you get to a beer festival you look at the beers that you wanted, but have sold out or didn’t live up to your anticipation and you are a bit disappointed. It is only when you look back at your notes and see how many stunning beers you’ve had, that you think, "Hey, that was a pretty good day!" I had a good run of excellent beers around mid afternoon including this one. Decent blond beer. Attractive citrus hop aroma. Decent Dark Star Hophead style beer. Still, a very good blond beer, good grapefruit flavour. Very decent.

Half pint @ Old Hall Beer Festival in Chinley. An explosion of fruit flavours on the nose, grapes, gooseberries and guava. Well bittered, nice long finish. Thoroughly refreshing beer. Yellow colour, bit of a head but not much. Loved this one. EdKing (2607) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 21, 2011

Stoops,Chesterfield. Highly aromatic smell and tastes similar. Clear gold with tight head that lasts quite well. Don,t think it,s quite as good as Yankee, but it gives it a good run for it,s money. This brewery turns out some pretty impressive beers which are distinctive and slightly different from the norm. Another one please, landlord.
