Cask at Black Door. Rather clear orange with a lacy white head. Floral aroma with hints of citric fruits and malt. Flavour starts with floral and citric good, but the finish is first malty and bitter-sour towards the end. jjsint (2998) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2015
Cask at the Clarendon Arms, Cambridge. Dark gold, the tiniest bit hazy. Orange and slightly floral aroma. Nice. Taste is even better: full citrusy bittersweet with a fruity sour hint. Shades of resin, cheese, grass and caramel in the finish. I like this, it even cuts through my ’golden fatigue’. MrTipple (4782) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 8, 2015
Aroma: grain malts, some floral hops, some citrus. Appearance: clear gold, small, frothy, white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: light bitters continue, very light grass, some floral hops again, very subtle carbonation. Overall: OK Golden Ale, nothing too outstanding, but quite quaffable.
