Bottle shared during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours cloudy brown with a bubbly, tan froth head. Sweet, with tangy and leathery dark fruits, some toffee, bread, spices. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet and warming in the finish, with further well ripened semi-dark fruits, berries, chewy toffee. Good and fun.

2014 RBWG Sat night Downtown Inn bottle share. Cloudy brown body under a tan head. The aroma is sweet and complex. Fruits, caramel, toffee. The flavor is sweet, following the aroma but lacks the complexity of the aroma.

Taster at RBWG 2014 grand tasting - thanks to the person who shared this! 1.5 liter magnum!! Dark brown red color. Thin khaki head. Some loose dots and ropes of lace. Lots of sherry, dark fruit notes in the nose. Moderate sweet, moderate bitter taste, light warmth, but hides the 14% alcohol very well! I’d believe it if you told me 8-9%, whoa. Smooth, soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Bigger body. Lighter carbonation. Very interesting, tasty stuff. Complex, smooth, and well-aged. Good for a 2008 (I think that was the vintage)

3.1
hopdog (13258) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 28, 2013
22oz, white waxed bottle. 2008 Vintage, bottle # 101. Poured a dark brown color with a large sized white head. Fizzy and very carbonated body. Earthy, soil, and roast. Fizzy body detracted from the experience.
