(swing top bottle) Cloudy, golden colour with a blond and thick foamy head. Yeasty and moderately wheaty aroma with strong notes of banana and a tinge of apricot. Mildly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a creamy carbonation. Present wheat-character with primary notes of banana; a bit slim and mildly sweet and bana-fruity finish. TAR (2761) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - JUN 6, 2017
Draft at the Roppelt keller. Cloudy golden. Thin yet creamy and persistent cap of white foam. Soft, fluffy and expansive carbonation. Pastry-rich malt aromatics evoke pineapple upside-down cake, gingerbread, spice cake, and banana bread. Underlying plasticlike phenols, mango, cobwebs, and vanilla. A pronounced clove-laced phenolic burst is infused with vibrant, palate-numbing pepper. Soft bubblegum notes cradle the sharpness ably. Bouncy wheat notes show remarkable depth and refinement, and as the malt evolves it takes on a fresh straw and delicate toastiness and even some sweet cookie notes which hug the palate and offer a richness of textures. Kiss of banana pokes through, yet never obtrudes thanks to the immaculately clean attenuation. Sparkling phenolics continue their surge as hints of licorice flavors loom beneath. Subtle yeastiness leaves a rustic mark. The core is awash in nectar, and feels nearly sappy. Profoundly succulent, with lemon and pineapple contributing a plentitude of bright acids to beckon you for another large gulp. The wondrously balanced and cohesive finish is pillared by cookie and a delectable fusion of tropical fruit and sassy clove. An addictive and complex weizenbier that does everything right. Almost as delicious as their much vaunted kellerbier.

Tap at the brewpub on eastersunday - very nice orange complex color, thick white head. body is medium, taste is wheat malts, floral hops, low banana flavor, medium sweet. very good.

500ml bottle, gift from ippopotamo36 (thanks Alberto!). Pours pale yellow, a bit unclear, with a medium white head. Aroma of esters, banana, lemon, wheat, delicate. Flavour is a bit messy, light sweet, quite refreshing. Light body, medium carbonation. Boring.

At the 8th tasting (round 2), held in Vranovo and Pozarevac. Bottle. Pours an extremely bright golden color, very cloudy with a decent white cap. Nose: clove, tart distinctive note which is pungent and recalls a gym bag filled with sweat soaks :-). Mouth: watery, a bit of straw, hay.

At Belgrade Eighth Tasting, round two. Bottle. Nice yeasty haze, white-yellow and soft white foam. Herbal, clove, lots of chardonnay/white wine yeast. Good funk. Body is lighter, quite dry. Interesting beer, good farmhouse and some Belgian character. Quite fine

This is an interesting Weizenbier. It has flashes of a modern and also of a traditional beer. It is fruity and solidly wheaty in the aftertaste and when you first swallow. A good beer that hits the mark.

Tap at the Brewery restaurant. Beautiful dark golden-pastel color with a tall head. Fruity, lemony nose, wheat, some clove. A bit sulfury and strange, though original. Metallic lemon. Light and refreshing bit probably not exactly right.

(as Roppelt Weizenbier, 4.9 ABV) Trübes strohgelbes Weizen mit einer ordentlichen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig hefig, würzig, hopfig. Geschmack bananig, hefig, süß, spritzig, die Süße nimmt zum Abgang hin etwas ab.
