bartlebier (4089) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - SEP 13, 2017
33cl bb0918 from a Steinkjer Meny or Coop, en route to sleepy woodhouse Røros. - Misty treetrunk amber pour. Raw forest aromas of mulch, treebarky caramels and sulphurous orchard fruit skins with a hard to place whiff of berries. Malt-forward taste profile with a good hint of woody-dry caramel malts and again fallen orchard fruit drained of its fruit sugars. Watery pockets midst the sawdust malty accents. Forgettable. Red-brown color, off-white head. Metallic nose, malty, caramel. Malty taste, caramel, ripe fruit, light bitterness. Light body, average carbonation. ineedbeer (2210) - Oakland, California, USA - SEP 30, 2015
Poured from a bottle with a best by date of 07/16. Aroma is fairly malty with a lot of caramel and toasted bread. Lighter cracker notes. Some light hop notes with resin, wood and grapefruit. Pours a fairly clear, copper color with a medium thick, small white head that recedes to a thin film that lingers. Medium lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with some moderate caramel and toasted bread notes. Much like the aroma, lighter malt notes of cracker and biscuit. Medium light bitterness with light hop notes. Rather faint hop character with some grapefruit, resin and wood. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied and somewhat watery with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty bland beer. Quite a bit of malt and almost no hops. A clean drinking beer, but other than that its pretty boring. Nonshaugen (637) - Fetsund, NORWAY - SEP 19, 2015
Lovely amber colour, thin off-white to tan head. Lovely notes of caramel, toffee and pine in the nose. Repeated in the taste, just stronger, along with some bread and another taste I can’t really identify. Reminds me a lot of my own efforts of brewing ambers at home. (Which in my opinion turned out quite well....) tandembrauer (1526) - Stavanger, NORWAY - JUL 14, 2015
Bottle at Kabelvåg Camping, Norway. Pours hazy amber with little off-white head. Aroma of caramel, fruits, oranges. Taste is slightly sour, with some astringent bitterness. Dry and thin bodied.

From bottle 11.06.15. Slightly hazy orange. Small, white head. Moderate aroma, with some grass, pine, malt and caramel. Similar taste, with evident malt and bitterness. Decent aftertaste. chrislang (32) - - MAY 29, 2015
God smak, passe fyldig. Midt mellom tung og lett. Tydelig preg av karamell. Antakeligvis bedre til mat enn kos. ERB92 (766) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 10, 2015
Berries, fruits, biscuits and a hint of honey in the aroma. Amber with a off-white head. Medium sweet and medium + bitter. Light to medium body with a average carbonation. Overall a fairly drinkable, but a bit unbalanced. Foffern (1952) - Bodø, NORWAY - MAR 18, 2015
Bottle at home. Pours a dull, hazy, orange color and a soapy, ligth beige head. Malty aroma of biscuit, fudge, grains and some berries and cooked vegetables. Hint of spices. A little odd. The flavor is still pretty malty but with grassy hops, dried fruit, heather and leather. Hint of vinegar-like tones. Has a slick mouth feel, and a balanced bitterness. A strange beer, that maybe is infected. A little unbalanced but is quite rich for a lower ABV beer.
