COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Røros, oktober 1670. Folket sulter. Arbeiderne ved Røros Kobberverk har ikke fått lønn på mange år. Spell-Ola må gå til kongen i København igjen, som han gjorde i sommer. Kanskje nytter klagen denne gangen? Men direktøren får nyss om planene. Spell-Ola legges i jern i Mørkstuggu. I sinne omringer arbeiderne direktørens bolig.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2012 Bottle. golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, sugar, malt, apple, sourness. Flavour is fruit, sugar, citrus, hop, sourness, butter, apple. Boring wrong beer. Rerate 14.9.2012. The sourness is away, but still a little bit boring beer.

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2012 330 ml bottle. Slightly hazy golden body with a small, disappearing white head. Aroma is sweetish light malty with hint of honey and butterscotch. Flavor is sweet and harsh, mild malt. Possible to drink this, but I don’t feel for it. Something is obvious wrong here.

Re-rating September 2012, thanks to Bergstaden. Hazy pale golden body with a small white head. Aroma is grainy with light floral hops. Refreshing flavor, quite light in flavor, some fruitiness and not much bitterness. Medium body and moderate bitterness in aftertaste. Drinkable but easy to forget.

Bottle, courtesy of OleR. It pours an unclear golden body and a small, white head. Malty and sourish nose with fruits and a slightly unpleasant touch of something I can’t identy. Faint hints of butterscotch, DMS and higher alcohols. Fruity, pleasantly bitter flavor that else don’t impress in any way. Borderline unpleasant. Medium body, dry. Bitter finish. Best part of this is the mouthfeel. Wonder if it’s supposed to be like this. 111123

Smallish coarseish white head doesn’t last. Hazy yellow body. Earthy floral wax tablecloth aroma. Dryish harshly spicy floral taste with earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish mealy harshly spicy herbal aftertaste. Yuck. Awful. (0.33l bottle shared by Ole_R.)

Bottle in Trondheim. Dark gold, low carbonation.
Grain, bread, yeast, bitter hops in the finish.

OleR (4849) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 22, 2011
Small bottle, from a trade with bergstaden. A thin but lasting layer of blond bubbles, upon a cloudy dark yellow to pale gold colored body. Initial aroma of grainy, light bready malts. Then a faint whiff of yellow fruits. Some yeast tones, and a note of grassy hops. Semi-dry, pleasantly sourish, bready grain flavor. A hint of lemon. Discreet bitterness. Quite light in body. Short sourish-sweet malt ending. Well, a pretty good one. And far better than most of the range of Norwegian ’’grocery store’’ lagers available.

golden with small white head that goes away lomost at once, some carbonation - malt and some hop in the aroma - taste is a little thin on the malt side and has some hop bitterness - short finish with some hop, and hints of yeast in the background from the sediment in the bottle - ok, but it could have been better than this
