maekchu (3847) - Hirakata, JAPAN - APR 7, 2015
Bottle. Thanks to KyotoLefty (who schlepped several good beers back from Germany). Very fragrant hopping, perfume-like even, with some graininess. Very pale straw color. Light but very tangy fruity initial / grass springs up in mid palate / nice hop tingle in late mid and final. Thin-medium. Very nice flavor changes throughout. Crisp and clean.

KyotoLefty (10197) - Kyoto, JAPAN - APR 4, 2015
Bottle from the brewery. Very pale golden color with a medium head. Herbal hop nose, clean crackery malts. Crisp malt flavor, prickly herbal hops, peppery bitterness in the finish. Soft yet prickly carbonation. Very nice and balanced.

TAR (2742) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - AUG 25, 2014
Fresh bottle from Landbierparadies, consumed in 2012: Crystal-clear pale yellow. Tiny-bubbled pasty white foam. Mineralic, peppery, damp hay aromas. Lightly herbal and grassy with subtle yeast notes. Tight carbonation. Peppery zing of hops harmonizes with a pronounced grassy tang. Malt is quite dry and doesn’t pack a whole lot of texture or depth into the watery body. Quite slippery and melony as well, with no grip from the malt for much-needed contrast. Scarcely a hint of lemony elegance in the center. Finishes wet with vaguely defined damp-hay pils malt and a zesty hop bitterness. Not picking up any glaring defects, but can’t say I’m digging it much. Malt could definitely use some refinement. Very straightforward, like most Frankenpils tends to be.

culchiem (3929) - Berlin, GERMANY - AUG 9, 2014
Draught from the brewpub. It was in a Krug so don’t know what it looked like. Light malty aroma. Flavour is sweet crip pils, a little bitter at the back. Nice on a sunny day under a tree.

Beerhunter111 (20349) - P´Castle, GERMANY - MAR 9, 2014
Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig hopfig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig bitter, getreidig, grasig.

miggle (339) - Fürth, GERMANY - MAR 1, 2014
Dark golden and clear Color, medium head. Smells of grains and herbs. Taste is very sweet and malty for a Pils. Good balanced bitterness.

MichaelAwesome (6516) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - JAN 22, 2014
Ein feones, ausgewogenes Pils, wie man es eher selten findet. Hopfig, mit grasigen Tönen und etwas Heu. Süffig, leicht zu trinken - gut.

McTapps (6856) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - JAN 21, 2014
Pours out of the bottle in a clear light golden colour with airy head and medium body. Aroma of hops and grass. Taste of intense hops, spruce, citrus, oranges and grass. Very tasty and quaffable, enjoyed it.

kappldav123 (6097) - GERMANY - JAN 21, 2014
Thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one. Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice small head. Starts mild but not washy, fine spicy. Well balanced with some wheaty notes. All in all mild but quite drinkable. Nice!

Moravius (1278) - Beijing, CHINA - DEC 7, 2013
Flasche von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Goldgelb, klar. - Alkoholgehalt lt. Etikett 4,9 %.
