promontor (156) - HUNGARY - NOV 15, 2015
1 l pet bottle from the Rotburger brewpub. (Opened on the night of Hungary qualifying for Euro 2016, first appearence on a major tournament for 30 years, so maybe this influenced the judgement a bit...) Starts with small and quickly vanishing head, but the aroma (honey, bit of vanilla) compensates for the poor head. Taste is malty bittersweet a bit more on the sweet side. Some simple but nice grassy/spicy taste is also detetctable . Very creamy palate, I like that a lot. Nice moderate bitter aftertaste. Simple but well composed, very nice beer and extremely good in Hungarian standards!

I’ve bought a bottle at the brewpub. Nice pale golden color with a nice white head. The aroma is malty and yeastly, tipical lager character. The flavour is lager too: yeast, some grains-malts and hop. The hop is more robustic that i expect. Hoppy aftertaste. Typical, drinkable lager/pilsner from a microbrewer.

kapusil (1435) - Budapest, HUNGARY - AUG 15, 2012
1l PET bottle. Golden body with a thin white head. Sweet, bready, grainy aroma. Malty flavor, but quite hoppy finish. A nice everyday beer.

judasbeer (431) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 12, 2009
Clear golden with diminishing fizzy head. Medium sweet malt, nuts, moderate sour yeast in the aroma. More balanced flavor than the dunkel one. Medium sweet grains, nutmeat, with subtle crisp, grassy hops and slight acidic finish. Light bodied with fizzy character. Better than the average Hungarian microbrews.

omhper (25246) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 16, 2010
Draught at the brewpub. Clear deep golden, minimal head. Buttery malt aroma. Mid dry with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Firm but spritzy mouthfeel. A bit fruity with some butter and grassy hops. Light salty bitterness. Well balanced uncomplicated lager.

Draft at Dubarry restaurant in Budapest. Bright yellow with tall white head, fresh-ish hoppy pils nose. Good bite, well hopped. honey-sour. good

rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 30, 2008
Sampled from draught at the brewpub. Deep golden colour, diminishing head. Crisp mouthfeel with fresh maltiness. Low on the hops. A slight dms tone here but not very disturbing, yet with a bit fatty mouthfeel. Low bitterness. By Hungarian standards, pretty good.

mattphilips (801) - Budapest, HUNGARY - AUG 8, 2011

Pallleon (376) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JAN 26, 2017

1 l PET. Prety golden colour, quickly collapseing head, lively carbonation. Smell of malt and yeast, taste is sweet, body’s medium. Flavour’s the same as the smell, finish’s light-bitter. Not bad, but I like the brown kind of it more...
