Bottle(fortunately only 0.33l): Clear, pale greenish golden, rapidly collapsing loose white head, sweetish-bitterish nose, mainly papery aromas detectable; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied and pretty soft; slightly drier and more bitter in the short finish. Still drinkable, but no challenge… MoritzF (10018) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - FEB 17, 2013
(bottle, 33cl) Clear, effervescent, pale golden coloured hue with a big and blond foamy head. Quite discreet aroma, slightly doughy malty with a grainy touch. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a tame carbonation. Slightly sticky grainy malty taste; sweet and shy bitter hoppy finish. Clear medium yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, toasted, dusty, light to moderate hoppy, grass. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Small plumb bottle from a little imbiss in Berlin. Sometimes the lablework works and I fell for this KGB-looking break beer. When poured it apperas as a classic pils - they could, just because of the name, have made it redish, but it’s straight clear pale and thin yellow looking. The nose is pretty anonymous (so was the sub red October) with notes of malts and corn and some rusty metal. The taste is likewise pretty thin and anonymous. A malty finish with faint Munich-like hops. Palate thin but a bit sparkling. I guess this would be a good choice when looking for a thirst killer a warm afternoon - but there’s tons of beers like this one out there. It doesn’t stick out in any way... Bottled 33cl. Courtesy of Rainer Wallisser. It pours a clear pale golden beer with a decently lacing average sized white head. The aroma is remarkably grainy with honey, DMS and faint gooseberry showing up. Lime appearing in the taste. Subdued bitterness. Medium bodied. Creamy palate. Grainy. Good malt profile. Balanced. Earthy hops. Relatively strong carbonation. Some residual sugars in the finish which is reminiscent of grain and lime. A pleasant brew. faroeviking (11024) - Chupando chellas es como ellas, FAROE ISLANDS - FEB 22, 2011
Botella. Clear pale yellow colour. Short white head. Grainy malty aroma. Thin mouthfeel. Grainy bit sweet flavour, bit malt, bit hops, mild, simple. Ungstrup (38138) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 16, 2011
Bottled. A yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Boring. Thanks yespr for sharing.
