Bottle @ Yngwie’s, courtesy of Yngwie. Thanks man! :-) Clear ruby-hued red body. Nose is beeswaxy honey, syrup and hints of heather flowers. Pretty nice. Taste is honey, cherries, red berries and hints of flowers. A bit thin bodied, but for a 6 % mead that’s probably correct. OK, all in all.

Bottle, 75cl , courtesy of Papsoe. A clear, ruby pour leaves no head. Flat. Cherries, some heather and a good dash of honey in the aroma. The flavor is sweet and cherry-like, with cherry pits and some honey. Weak on honey actually. Overall, quite nice, but I prefer my meads to taste mead and not being dominated by cherries. 100814

Ruby red color, dark. Light honey and cherry aroma. The flavor has the light astringency and sweetness typical of cherry juice, not much honey though. Pleasant sweet drink. Well, it’s not the worst cherry mead I had, but I would prefer if the German meaderies focused on straight mead.
