COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wheat is an important and typical flavor carrier in this type of beer. As with all other beers we also work at Rothaus Hefeweizen with a slightly higher original gravity of 12.5%.

In addition to the fine hop bitterness (13 bitter units), Rothaus Hefeweizen is typical of the variety, with another important flavor component, the yeast. In Hefeweizen the yeast is not mixed, but a top-fermenting yeast is used. Unlike our other beers, it comes with unfiltered wheat beer bottling.

Ingredients: water, wheat malt, barley malt, hops, hop extract, yeast.

500 ml bottle. Pours cloudy amber with a high white head. Spicy fruity fruit smell. Full bodied wheat taste with fruity notes, a tiny tad sour. Wonderful! Slightly sour palate.

50 cl. bottle obtained in a trade with drunkenaim I think // thx. // @ home // mushy apricot coloured with a creamy white head // smell is pure banana bubblegum, lots of banana with some soft wheat, light spice and touch floral // taste is oodles of creamy banana, it is milkshake like, thick yeast and some creamy wheat, touch bitter floral, white pepper and spice in the back // full creamy wheat body // it is like a hefe-milkshake, this is great and just what I was looking for

a golden hazy brew who helped me trough a hot Southern-Germany day last week. Good hefeweizen with a citrus aroma.

Half pint at Craft Beer Co, Leather Lane, London. Gets the full 5 for appearance due it’s dreamy, thick head and perfect, cloudy, amber body. Feint but pleasant aroma of barley, lemon and citrus. Beautifully smooth in the mouth. Gorgeous flavour of vanilla, banana and caramel.

Really really nice aroma, extremely aromatic. Huge sence of citrus and bananas, maybe oranges and something sugarish. Standard hefe looks, but a bit paler than the avarage. Taste is rather complex, spicy finish, extremely refreshing, clovy. A superb example of the style, well done Rothaus!!!
