Tannenzäpfle pours a clear pale golden color and its white head is big, consists of big bubbles, and sticks around for a fairly long while. The malt is stronger on the nose than one would expect from a pilsner and has grainy and savory notes and a hint of corn, while the hops are orthodox German pilsner style, i.e. noble, delicate, mildly herbal, and faintly floral. The malt is much more muted on the front palate than in the nose and the mid-palate is largely dominated by the straightforward and snappy hops, which initially came across as faintly skunky, but this impression was gone by the time I took the second mouthful. The bitterness in the finish is pleasantly dry and focused, the medium-fizzy carbonation refreshing. The straightforward, clean, and palate-cleansing characters allows this brew to accompany virtually any food. Solid. loscovar (712) - Trieste, ITALY, Villeneuvette, FRANCE - SEP 15, 2017

Among the many Pils on the market, I find the Tannenzäpfle to stand out a bit. Appears to me more complete, well-balanced flavors (in comparison to just bitter). Emelie (193) - Örebro, SWEDEN - AUG 30, 2017
Ljusgul, klar, lite vitt skum.
Doft: varma äpplen, jäst, honung, söt aningen syrlig.

Bottle. 5.1%. Best before 30.11.17. Pours a clear, pale straw yellow, with a diminishing, off-white head. Decent lacing. Fruity, hoppy aroma. Light green apple note as it warms. Flavour is hoppy, slightly citrusy. Fruit, green apple as it warms. Light malt in the background. Remote hint of cardboard. Mild to medium bitter finish. A wee bit grainy. Overall okay, if nothing special. 29.08.17.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold colour with a fluffy white head, the aroma is hoppy with plenty of fruit, the taste is medium bitterness and with a dry bitter finish. victorsampson96 (154) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 4, 2017
(330 ml bottle) Pours a clear light-golden beer, with steady medium carbonation, and a small, creamy white head. The aroma is malty at first, with notes of biscuit, rice and bread. The hops follow through, with spruce and spice, honeycomb and citrus, then a bitter herbal finish. Soft, medium mouthfeel.
As German Pilseners go, this is crystalline and hoppy. Fairly refreshing, but a bit two-dimensional. Pyrmir (6210) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - JUL 18, 2017
330 ml bottle in Nagymaros. Bright golden with white head. Aroma and taste has pale malt, slight grain dusty notes, light woody notes and tiny diacetyl. Very pleasant
