2017-08-03. Hazy orange body, nice frothy foamy beige head fades a bit, modest beige lacing. Aroma is relatively mild, melange of lightly musky green hops, moderately sweet malt and mild sweet citrus. 7+ Flavour is moderately bitter up front, sweetish citrus melange follows, notes of pithy orange citrus and orange peel, touches of lemon and orange seeds around the edges. Very light green leafy undercurrent. 7++ Smooth average plus to medium bodied palate, good carbonation. It doesn’t have the depth that some other double IPAs offer, but it also offers a smoother experience than many. Very nice. 7+/4/7-8/3-4/16+ Bottle from Rouge River, Markham. Sweet and dank, with a ton of pine and hemp and malt. Certainly not a classic IIPA but it pares well with a fatty Sammy (12609) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 16, 2017

[Bottle (500ml) pour at Ontario Brewing Awards] Pours a hazy gold with a small semi-lasting frothy white head. Aroma (7+) is quite dank and hempy -- pretty much just hempy hops, it lives up to it’s name. Flavour follows, all hempy hops, but it’s a bit one-note, it could use some fruitiness and malt balance. Alcohol is well hidden. Average bodied. Overall not great but pretty good.
