2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Courtesy my Secret Santa. Thank you, sir. Meh. I was expecting a lot more from a beer calling itself a hop bomb from the west coast. Aroma was OK. Piney hops and and sticky malt. Pour was a nice burnt orange with a one finger off white head. Taste was sticky and green with the pine and grapefruit hops very muted and muddled with a weird flat ginger ale flavor. Hard to explain. Nice carbonation. Definitely drinkable but there’s a lot better out there.
Palm Beach Gardens, Fl - Total Wine & More - 12 oz bottle. Slight haze to the dark golden/light orange pour, Fluffy, snow white head, nice film of lace. Aroma has some booziness, a touch of brown sugar, some saffron spice. Flavor has some caramel sweetness, a light touch of spearmint, some raw cake mix, a bit too much crystal malt. Pleasantly thick mouthfeel. Homer321 (5194) - Melboring, Florida, USA - FEB 4, 2017
Bottle. Strong orange caramel aroma marmalade juice. Taste is creamy citrus hop flavor. Medium bitterness. Decent but not great. DialSquare (5132) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 24, 2016

Nice intense hoppy aroma. Pours a golden in color with a white head. Well-balanced for an imperial IPA, deceptively strong. Slightly chewy body.

Draught at the brewery. Pours clear amber with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is sweet citrus and fruity hops, biscuit malt, mango and passion fruit. Flavor is moderate citrus and fruity hops and bitterness, stone fruit, light caramel malt notes, biscuit malt and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. Bottle to glass, slight hazy golden pour. Mainly malty aroma. Thick sweet malt profile balanced by moderately intense hop bitterness. Not bad, not a standout except maltier than most. barroso2501 (66) - Brasilia, BRAZIL - JAN 24, 2016

Light haze on this gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, good fine carbonation. Fluffy malts bring just a trace of creamy sweetness. Hop spice and pine. Marmalade with a suggestion of fresher orange. Finishes light and hop spicy. Decent.
Citrus and pine mostly. Not bad but also nothing special, especially given how much I like a couple of the regular and session strength hoppy beers they do.
