Bottled. Rating number 9; for some reason I cant help but think of the White Album. Pours dark golden with a lofty white cap of foam that lasts. Aroma of pine sap and a bit of grapefruit. For some reason I get a hint of metal. Well-balanced flavor of smoky malt, grapefruit, orange citrus and cut grass. Finish round out well. Slight bit of vegetable underneath. Enjoyable.

Bottle from a trade. Nose is huge in caramel. Toffee, sweet. No hops at all. like an imperial amber ale. Not a good sign. Taste follows with a gross sweetness that sticks to my tongue and wont let me taste anything other than burnt sugar, bread, molasses. no. stop. bad.

Clear golden and lightly coppered coloured body with a thin, faint off-white head about a centimetre tall. Aroma of light grass, tropical fruits and a touch of metal and nuts. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong nutty and earthy malt flavours at first with a smooth and noticeable, but low alpha acid hop flavour showing some grain and subdued sweetness. Aftertaste has a little pungency with some smooth alcohol and metallic flavours around, but the hops are relatively mild and the malt is only a touch nutty. Overall, a light IPA with some smooth but non-remarkable qualities, which is too bad compared to the other beers Ive had from this brewery. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 15-November-2016 for US$2,17 sampled at home in Washington on 04-December-2016 after returning from New York.

Appearance: hazy pale amber with one fat finger of rocky ivory head, excellent retention and patchy lacing. (4/5) Aroma: caramel malt, pine, citrus, earth. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-high bitter. (7/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, lingering bitter finish. (3/5) So, is a southern triangle anything like a map of Tasmania? ANZ rude phrases aside, this isnt particularly southern, as far as I can tell - certainly Im not getting any of the white wine vinous notes I associate with Nelson Sauvin. Its a little foamy, which doesnt bother me overly much, especially since the head retention is so good. But its also fairly malt-forward, which does bother me, a little. Its not even that high an ABV, so theres no particular reason the hops couldnt be a bit more dominant over the malt, in my opinion. Solid, I guess, if uninspired. (14/20)

Very basic bitter and grain IPA. One dimension. Well done for a standard IPA but this isn't really for me. Meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Bine and Vine. Pours a mostly clear Amber orange with a pillowy white head that sticks around. Nose is herbal, grassy, grainy, and hints of cattiness. Flavor is similar with grain, malt, grass, herbs, lemon peel, grapefruit, mild fruit, and lingering bitter. Light to medium in body and lingering bitterness on the finish.
