Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours cloudy orange with white head. Great lacing. Nose and taste of papaya, mango, citrus, sugared pink grapefruit, caramel malt, pine, dank hops and resin/sap. Balance is incredible. One of the better IIPAs I’ve had in some time. gururyan (727) - Stillwater, Oklahoma, USA - AUG 8, 2013
UPDATED: APR 3, 2014 Poured from bomber into snifter, healthy head, cloudy gold, fantastic aroma. Super crisp and bright, wonderful hop taste...well balanced and sooo drinkable! Enjoying with some super spicy, homemade turkey chili on a hot summer evening. This is my second from Roughtail and I am blown away. I have got to find this on tap somewhere as I can’t afford $12 bombers. My new favorite Okie brew, well done! twgordon (40) - Oklahoma, USA - AUG 9, 2013
Wow! What a hoppy bitter surprise! Bomber to glass strong strong, bitters and good malt bitter. Oklahoma beer just lept into the future. OKBeerFan (67) - - AUG 16, 2013
Was very excited to try this IIPA from this new brewery in OKC. This is my first Rough Tail brew and if this is an indication of where they're headed it is very exciting for OK craft beer! Nice aroma of citrus, grapefruit mainly and some pine. Great mouthfeel. For 10% you don't taste the alcohol at all, easy drinking beer. Taste is mainly grapefruit with some resinous pine as well. The malt balances this beer well. Recommend trying this if you can get your hands on it.

Pours cloudy almost florescent orange with a white head. Aroma is grapefruit, mango, pine and slight caramel. Taste is the same as aroma with a nice balance between bitter and sweet. I wasn’t expecting much from an $8 bomber. What a nice surprise

Bomber to snifter. Big, hoppy nose; gorgeous pour. Terrific balance. Nice hop profile. Easy to drink. A bit pricey, but worth it. Well done, Roughtail. mcberko (17847) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 2, 2015
500mL can, sent from OKBeerFan (thanks a lot, Matt), pours a dark copper with a large beige head. Aroma brings out a great quality of resinous hops, a little wood and some caramel biscuity malt. Flavour is potent and wonderfully balanced, with truckloads of resinous hops, some pine, a little wood, and just enough caramel bready malt. Couldn’t really be better balanced. This is a wonderful top-class IIPA. Roonai (305) - - AUG 3, 2013
22 oz Bottle.pours a pretty and clear amber chestnut with a white head that lingers as a film across the top. nose is intense caramel base with a ppop of bitter hops to cut it up. vivid and complex- very bright. taste is more butter hops- a good combo of piney and citrus over a pretty intense caramel malt back. Bottle says its aggressive and i see that in the intensity of flavors, but its not bad-aggressive, its yummy aggressive :-) Ratman197 (14848) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - NOV 6, 2015
16 oz can poured a clear tarnished gold with a small lasting creamy white head. Aromas of biscuit, tangerine, dank bud, pink grapefruit and tropical fruit. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, grapefruit, pine and ligjt dankness with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish. Tap at the patriarch, OKC. Amber pour, nice lacy white head. Aroma is floral hops, piney, dank, a bit of resin and hints of tropical fruit. Taste is smooth, piney, light sweetness, well balanced. Fantastic beer. Smooth palate, medium carbonation. Fantastic, could be a top 50 DIPA I n my opinion. Comparable to a Lacumbre Elevated.
