Pours a clear golden-orange color. Moderate white head with very nice retention and lacing. Aroma is phenomenal with a huge burst of citrus and piney hops. Flavor is surprisingly well-balanced. Don’t get me wrong, the hops still dominate, but it has a nice amount of caramel malt to keep it from being one dimensional. Medium bodied and smooth, clean finish. Hides the alcohol well and very easy to drink if you like hops. Very well done.
Can thanks to robertdale. Medium amber pour with a small head. Strong marmalade and caramel. Woody hops. Strongly bitter flavor old school piney character. Fat, chewy caramel malt. Hot finish. Surprisingly low carb. Meh. ads135 (5207) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - MAR 19, 2017

16oz can. Pours clear golden. Aroma of pine and citrus. Flavor of pine, spruce, citrus. A nicely balanced IPA that is easy drinking yet has a nice full piney flavor with an added citrus hint. I’ve had two different Roughtail beers and am very happy they are distributing to Kansas. blklab2007 (2120) - Connecticut, USA - AUG 13, 2015
Can thanks to my secret santa! Pour has a golden color and a coating of white head. Aroma has mild citrus, resins, some pine, and a good malt backbone. Mouth feel is medium with good coating and plenty of carbonation. Flavor dials up the bitterness, pine, resins, citrus edges, and a clean finish.

This is good and super easy to drink. Very piney and oily hops. Not much citrus but that's ok. Dry palate to boot. I'd happily drink this again. boozedude (2229) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - DEC 21, 2014
